Re: Starting a Franchise, need ideas!
I have been doing a Diamondbacks franchise and I've loved it. They have star pieces to build around (Greinke, Goldschmidt, Corbin) but are generally a few complementary pieces away from contending. The farm system also isn't too strong so rebuilding that from the ground up has been fun as well. Not to mention a good-looking stadium with a retractable roof and new uniforms. I must say that it is a fun way to go for franchise, I've gotten a lot of positives out of it.Comment

Just go with the team that can keep your interest the longest.

Re: Starting a Franchise, need ideas!
I did something really different this year and have loved it more than ever. I took the Braves and basically moved their good players (not that many, LOL!) to other teams. Then made custom players out of friends, family, etc. so now basically about half of my 90 players are people I created. With various abilities. We started off rough but have slowly became a contender with two months left in the season. It's been a blast!
I have loved it so much I plan on doing the carryover with it.

Start a franchise using the Nationals, player lock on Bryce Harper for every single game, and #makebaseballfunagain.Comment

Re: Starting a Franchise, need ideas!
The Indians are pretty easy to win with given the rotation
They are still my team of choice because I'm a fan though.
If I were going to do another franchise in parallel for fun I would think looking at doing the Padres, Orioles, Rockies, or Braves might be fun / challenging.Comment

He is pretty fun. In my MLB 15 Indians i got him in a trade in year two and he slashed something fun like 270/340/550 ... He hit some memorably huge homers.Comment
