    RIP Kimbo Slice

Although he wasn't a great professional MMA fighter, you have to give the man credit. He started with nothing, just a regular joe off the street. He had no training, only heart. He became famous from backyard brawls, and introduced the world to the dark side of fighting. RIP to the GOAT of backyard fighting...

man I still remember watching Kimbo on the Sublime Directory back in the day his underground fights were legendary at the time

i heard he was a really good fball player in HS and was going to get a scholarship, but hurricane Andrew messed up south florida in early 90s and cancelled his senior season, I'm sure he had a rough life after that but dude was a real badass and hilarous to boot

I would enjoy using Kimbo in the game. If they could add Kimbo and Brock in the next update, that would be one hell of an awesome update. With all the fighters they could add though, not sure Kimbo will be at the top of their list but here's to hopin.

God bless Kimbo. He wasn't the most technically sound MMA fighter, but he sure as hell got us watching whenever he was around. His backyard fights were awesome, beating two people at once and whatnot.

        Rest in power, Slice.

          Still can't believe it.

First Ali, then Lombard, and now Kimbo.

I should not have laughed, but that was funny.

This actually surprised me. Someone at work said he died. I was like, "Bull****". I had gotten on the PC this morning and didn't see anything. I thought that would be all over, but I guess I just missed it.

What really sucks is that he just tested positive for PEDs. They will try to link them together. Could be why, could have absolutely nothing to do with it, but it will bring speculation.

In all seriousness I love Kimbo, actually started watching MMA during TUF Heavyweights and thought he seemed like a cool *** dude.

                  RIP.

To be honest, this was my thought. Kimbo was a fighter, who trained and was maybe 10% body fat. By all accounts, he seemed very healthy. PEDS might have played a big part in his death, unfortunately...

There was something about him having an enlarged heart which is common with steroids.

That's what the word on the street is. PEDS involved. We won't know for sure until the test results are back though. But if he was on them, sure that's the reason for him just having heart failure out of no where.

                            It was 100% steroids.

                              Re: RIP Kimbo Slice

Just looked it up and he tested positive for steroids after the dada5000 fight which was changed to a non-contest in February.

And he was supposed to be fighting against next month against James Thompson.

No year long suspensions like the UFC. Didn't even get suspended. Bellator are shady lol

Slice last fought at Bellator 149 on Feb. 19 in Houston. Slice defeated Dhafir Harris (Dada5000) in a three-round decision. The Texas commission later changed the result to a no-contest after Slice tested positive for anabolic steroids and an elevated testosterone ratio, ESPN reported Monday night.
