Five Game Announcements We'd Love to See At E3 2016...

It's that time of year again! E3 2016 is right around the corner, and as usual, we'll be treated to new snippets of information about our favorite sports games. EA will still have a briefing this year despite holding their own EA Play event in the LA vicinity, so we can expect to hear more about Madden 17, NHL 17 and FIFA 17. We'll probably hear from 2K as well, along with any other companies that plan to show off their upcoming sports titles.

Despite all that goodness, there hasn't been enough variety for us sports gamers at E3 in recent years. We'd all love to see a major company come out with a brand-new (or revitalized) sports series, so here are a few things for the wishlist heading into this year's show.

A partnership between ea and natural motions (backbreaker) would make my life. I feel like backbreaker brought something different to the table and natural motions would do wonders for ea's physics and my player type modes. Madden hasn't changed much for a little more than a decade now and it's not like call of duty where they've discovered the ultimate gameplay formula that forbids them to change, so I think madden needs to spice things up.

How does a new football franchise from 2K Sports not be #1 on the list. The whole OS community would loose it if this happen.

Imagine at a press conference an exec said "and finally...NFL 2k17 is coming THIS FALL (drops the mic)"

I would add a new NBA Street to this list...sadly, none of this will be announced at E3. The glory days of sports gaming is gone.

It baffles me on a weekly basis why nobody has taken a chance on a PS4/XBox One tennis game. I'm sure the sales weren't great the last time around, but it's been years since we've had a console tennis game. People would surely buy it.. Head scratcher.

I want the usual, and unrealistic, suspects when it comes to E3. Nfl 2k17, Ncca Football 2017, Fight Night, MVP Baseball 2017, Nba Street.... College Hoops 2k17. Hell, I'd take a NCAA Football 2k17 Maybe one or none will return.

NaturalMotion was purchased by Zynga in January 2014. That ship has long since sailed.

Because there is no realistic chance that this happens. The hypothetical games on this list are each at least somewhat plausible.

Wouldnt the NCAA be able to have athletes sign a contract giving EA the ability to use the player in video games without being paid, and if the athlete refuses, they cant play college sports?

For me, I am longing for the return of college football, boxing, and tennis. I would be ecstatic to hear news that any of these were coming. I wouldn't complain about the return of college basketball either. I enjoy other types of games, but sports games always have, and always will capture the bulk of my attention. I have a backlog of fine games in other genres that I realistically will probably never get to because, 9 times out of 10,when I have time to play, I most want to play the sport which is in season. Side note: I cannot imagine my life without a baseball game. How you X-Box-only owners survive is beyond me.

Also, with the summer Olympics being held this year, I would like to get my hands on a decent Olympic game. Almost invariably, these games are awful. Mostly just thrown together to make money on the swell of Olympic interest. However, the London 2012 video game had some fun aspects. While some of the events were a waste of time and completely unexciting, some were rather fun.

CH2k17 and a new football title from 2k.
an APF title with a franchise mode would be fine by me. Id even be happy if they said "hey we are releasing a patch APF2k8 that will unlock editing features.
I agree a New EA NCAA football title would have been awesome.

Maybe one day we'll get college games back, and they will be in the fully fleshed out form they were for College Hoops and NCAA Football. Their loss still pains me.
