- Body Punches should be made stationary strikes: There shouldn't be any automatic lunge when i throw a jab to the body, straight to the body, hook or uppercut to the body. These strikes should be thrown directly from the stance with no forward movement at all. Right now, the 1,2 combos to the body are magnified by the fact that moving backwards is not enough as players can just chase you down with them.
Making them stationary strikes will eliminate this issue. Someone's throwing a lot of 1,2 combinations to the body? Simply take a step back and counter.
EDIT:
Another ideal solution would be to allow the automatic lunge on the first body punch thrown but then the follow up body shot has to be a stationary strike. This way we can still lunge in with single body shots like JDS did against Ben Rothwell but not chase opponents down with it.
- Body Punches shouldn't have stopping power or interrupt strikes: Right now players depend on body jabs and straights because these punches are safe and they are able to interrupt the flow of combinations. This isn't right and when we were discussing this change with the Devs, each and every single Gamechanger expressed concern with this... we asked specifically that body punches shouldn't freeze you in place, stun lock, or interrupt strikes.
EDIT:
If ONLY the first body punch has the automatic lunge then there might not be a need to take away the brief stun on body punches.
I'm interested in seeing if people agree with this one, but i personally think they shouldn't interrupt strikes at all.
