    Superman Punch.

    So why does everyone, and their grandmother have Superman Punches in this game?

    It's so absurd, and it's actually laughable.

    How often do you really see Superman Punches? But in this game like it's like 60% of the Roster has Superman Punches, but can't throw Overhands...

    Makes no sense at all.

    Anyone else annoyed by this?

    Also watching ppl like Eddie alveraz do a superman punch off the cage half way across the octagon just makes me roll my eyes. So dum, I don't get the thinking of why they added so many ppl doing this move off the cage.

      What annoys me the most about it is how many people have it. I love using Holloway, but one of his technique strikes is the Superman. I don't like using that except for rare occasions. So I have been using him less, when I used to only pick him for FW.

        It's frustrating to me, because the Overhands are so much better than the Superman Punches IMO. So when I wanna play as someone like Shogun, who devastates guys IRL with Overhands, and has never thrown a Superman punch in life, but has Superman Punches instead of Overhands... it makes me wanna throw the game out the window.

          THIS!! Max is my dude, and I rarely use him because his moves just don't feel quite right.

            I agree with all 3 of you and I wanna add that I think another problem is that there aren't enough strikes in the game in general, something that I'm really hoping would change in UFC 3, I wish for a huge arsenal of strikes for the devs to choose them in the next game, and add them very carefully with a hardcore MMA fan that everyone can vouch for, someone like Dan Hardy, Robin Black or even Jon Anik (best would be Joe Rogan but he ain't got time for that and you don't have to be that much knowledgeable to know who strikes with which techniques)

            If not that, then at least let the gamechangers do it, not a random guy who might not even like the sport or his job

              Not a fan of the back to back to back superman punches either. I've literally seen the majority of all UFC/Pride/Strikeforce/Etc fights, and I've never once seen anyone throw back to back superman punches.

              Why are guys able to throw 3 in a row, instantly closing distance?

                The bad thing is that the Superman punch is one of the only ways to effectively close distance, so I use it a lot more than I'd like to.

                  See this is the problem. They did have more strikes last game, but you also had another modifier. This made the control scheme too hard for some, so I guess they reduced it because of that.

                  Undisputed had more strikes with one modifier because they used distance to determine what strike it would be. People didn't like that though.

                    Re: Superman Punch.

                    I generally agree with you guys. Superman punches and cage kicks are distributed to fighters like popcorn. What i also dislike is the LT + L back + X|O moves. You either have a Roundhouse to the body (good) or some crazy spinning kicks which I hate. I think the spinning moves (if any) should be on L1 ONLY. I want more NON-spinning options.

                    I would really appreciate if the control scheme would give you a bit more freedom of choice. Like X|O are bound to left/right leg and LT is bound to the body, but besides that lets you choose your moves fitting.
                    The menus would even make sense in that way: Now you go from Main-menu (freely translated from german menus, hope that makes sense for you...)
                    UT->Select a fighter
                    My Collection->Own Objects->technical upgrades (moves)
                    Select a move-> Choose a slot ???
                    currently THIS screen makes no sense at all, because there will only ever be one slot to "choose" from. Either give me a choice or get rid of that screen . Also the screens after that are 90% of the time just spamming X. I never had that feeling of so useless annoying screens like in this game. One could easy unify them to have only ONE screen after selecting your move to see what changed and either accept or cancel it.

                      The double modifier control scheme got to be a bit much, especially when trying to go to the body while holding the right top button and hitting a strike. Really what they could add could be the flick the stick modifier like in UD3. Moves like the jumping head kick, where you flicked the stick forward towards opponent along with L1 and strike button. Give that mechanic to the super man punch and jumping head kick and then dudes like Holloway and lawler could have superman and overhand. Also that would limit superman punch spamming. While the superman punch is becoming rarer in UFC events, I have NEVER seen someone throw 2 in a row!
                      Also maybe adding a strike along with flicking for side steps could add more move option and really give the feel like your cutting angles on your opponent.

                        Re: Superman Punch.

                        I hate it, but I'll take two in a row rather than 6 in a row like how the game was not long ago.

                        I'd really like to see the distance cranked way down to a realistic distance. The cage strikes and superman there are over the top, I would almost like to see them removed, but that won't happen. I think only fighters that have used them in fights should get them, dudes like Aldo , Pettis, Romero, ect.

                        Weidman should get custom animation for superman, his is kind of ugly.

                        i really, really, really miss r1 as a modifier, of course I knew I would before game came out. Only having a roundhouse or a question mark kick and not both hurts my feelings. And the overhand. I think every fighter I use online I would sacrifice the superman for a overhand.

                          Try to finish a guy off against the cage with a big power punch? NOPE! you have a sloppy animation and slow as molasses superman punch.

                            Especially now that they nerfed them..

                            Instead of adding stamina punishment to those who spam them 2 times at once,they add punishment to single superman punches..And they are canceld by a jab and there goes 40% of your stamina..

                            Anderson Silva is my fav fighter and don't get me wrong,he has used Super Man Punch,but he needs only 1 super man punch.. Remove the one with the jabing hand and leave the back hand superman punch.

                            The dude has all the nerfed moves of the game.. Spinning kicks/Knees/Heavy Leading Body Kick/Super Man Punches in both hands.All the moves kill your stamina,you cannot be aggresive with him unless you start Mauy Thai Clinching people to death,which also got nerfed...

                            And whenver i play grapplers,each takedown i stuff,it ends up in a sprawl,where i have no submission or anything.. Instead of properly canceling a takedown and keep fighting on the feet,it almost always forces you to sprawl.

                              I think again like lead body and leg kicks, the superman punch needs an animation update.

                              Guys like gsp need a real sharp superman jab

                              Browne has one similar to the game but even his crisper.
