Sim and the guys on the sim standard said the commentary is probably one of the best in sports games now and definitely the best football game commentary to date and they were still early in development.

Of course we can't accurately judge this claim until we've heard it in-game and we all would like it to be the case but it does seem a bit premature for anyone to make this claim in June. Until at least about a month after release, having had the opportunity to hear it in many modes and repetitively, I don't see how it can be compared against past sports or football game commentary.

Charles Davis is a favorite. I love watching him and Mayock's analysis and both are solid commentators, good move imo. I REALLY hope the execution of the new commentary ideas are up to bar with other sports games now. But I'm enjoying the direction this Madden team is going.

I think we're also overlooking the fact that Brandon Gaudin is the first time Madden has had a commentator that actually grew up playing Madden. And his enthusiasm shows through in interviews and I think he "gets" it.

You didn't read my comment throughly I guess.. I said in game retail. Meaning give it a shot when it comes out. Don't dismiss it over 5 seconds or less of a preview.

If that's in-game then that'd be pretty amazing. My guess, however, is that was recorded specifically for that video clip as people enter the Madden Play booths.

Even if it was recorded, for it, I still have hope that's how it'll be in game, because having listened to Brandon's real calls, that's how he does it, and he's said he wanted to do it just like real life. I can't wait to hear it for sure in gameplay videos!
