They said last night that they would reveal something about career mode. LIkely they meant the stupid be Alex Hunter rubbish.

Don't get too excited, I dont think they put a lot of effort into career mode considering they had to switch to a completely new engine, introduced the new story mode and of course have to think about how to milk their cash-cow FUT.

Really hoping that at least the AI changes will help teams to play in different styles.

They've had a team working on the transition from Ignite to Frosbite for over 18 months. Perhaps the team responsible for CM lost some resources for the new Journey mode but generic statements like this with no proof don't do much to help.

I feel like we usually don't see anything about CM until around the time of Gamescon. I wouldn't' expect anything too soon.

I really hope they do something to spruce up career mode for us offline players. I cracked this year and bought $100 in packs for FUT on release day to try and get into that and I got TRASH. Enough that I refuse to ever put money into that game mode again barring any major change (which won't happen).

P.S. I don't want to start a new thread on this, but does Frostbite pretty much mean the end of any hope we had of ever getting creation center back? I'll never get to put FC Cincinnati into the MLS.

Actually in an interview OS posted they said they have been working on FIFA transitioning to Frostbite for over 2 years.

I think there's still a chance that creation centre will return at some point (fingers crossed), but I think you're right we definitely won't see it in FIFA 17 with the transition to the Frostbite engine - and I also think it's very unlikely to make a comeback in 18 since they will undoubtedly still be tweaking and ironing out kinks. But hopefully it could make a return in FIFA 19...

If they had really worked on something that would take CM to another level I'm sure they'd have announced it.

Things that come to my mind

- different AI playing styles so each team feels a little different
- clever AI management moves so the whole transfer / management system makes any sense

Anything that enhances long-term playability of career mode.

Not expecting anything huge like that anymore...

don't think either the CM will get a big overhaul.... but maybe i'm wrong and they wanted simply just highlight the Journey-Mode on E3...they didn't even highlight their ca$hCow UT, surprise, surprise...

but still 2-3 months to go...

yeah, different ai-tactics is really needed. Right now every club wants to play the tactic 'Ball-Posession'....if i start pressing, the AI's ball-posession rises and rises, they are so perfect in keeping the ball between their lines, even the worst teams...unreal.

I'd be happy with small things. You know like...

• Being able to edit a player and it not affect their gear.
• Not seeing Courtois, Cech, Lloris, Hart, De Gea on the bench more often than not.
• Being able to edit work rates (at least for created players if nothing else).
• NOT seeing same transfers in EVERY CM.

These are little things that would make all the difference in the world IMO.

If they had really worked on something that would take CM to another level I'm sure they'd have announced it.

Last year they didn't release any news about CM until the beginning of September.

I'm pretty sure the last 4-5 years at least nothing has been said about CM until Gamescon, just as I mentioned earlier in the thread. I can not recall a time that EA has ever talked specifically about CM at E3, or anytime before Gamescon.

Are they going to announce something revolutionary? Most likely not, but just because they haven't announced anything yet doesn't mean they haven't put some time into the mode.

Being able to edit players would be really nice for long-term motivation.
