Re: So no olympics video game this syear?
I thought the games we got in 2012 and 2010 were really good.
But sadly, there just doesn't seem to a market for them. I had fun playing with my whole family on these games - from my mom in her 70s all the way down to my brother's kids.

I guess I'm not the only one who would like to see olympic video games. Was disappointed when no winter game came out in 2014. London 2012 was heading in the right direction, needed it to be more challenging and more options.Comment

Why game if you can watch an actual thing? I think that's way better. I'm an ex gymnast, last summer I saw my rhythmic gymnastic leotards in my closet and decided "I'm going to Rio". And I am. Care to join?Comment

Really wish they'd give this ago. Need an Olympics/World Championship game with the rights to the top athletes. Proper my career mode to train as an individual or an entire team.

Re: So no olympics video game this syear?
I think there is real potential for an amazing Olympics video game, it's just a shame no one's pounced on the opportunity. London 2012 was actually very good. The Mario & Sonic games are good for what they are - basically Mario Party mini-games - but lack any real depth.
I'd love to see an Olympic game with lots of the "obscure" sports available to play. Handball, water polo & rugby sevens would be golden (pardon the pun). Less of the track-and-field events - which seem to dominate most Olympic video games - and more of the team events. A best-case scenario would be to make sports like basketball and soccer available, along with editable athletes (names, appearances & attributes all editable). That way you wouldn't have to pay for licensing, but the devoted gamer could still edit the game to their desire.There... are... four... lights!Comment
