Re: South Park: The Fractured but Whole (PS4/XB1/PC)
I laughted way too hard at the mention of the title, along with the pre-order jab.
Definitely picking this up down the line; I haven't even played Stick of Truth yet since I'm waiting for it to hit the $10 or below sale price on Steam one of these days.

you might as well get it for any price.
honestly the most well done game i have ever played (i never played last of us so dont know about that) but when the game was delayed because there was "so much content they want to add" i expected a game that would take forever but instead it was really short
BUT, turns out it was incredibly detailed and every level felt completely different, it never got repetitive besides the combat a little. i wish everyone put this kind of effort into their games, especially the Assassins creed missions where the missions get so repetitive.
i tried not touching anything when i was younger and ended up pissing all over myself.

If you pre-order "The Fractured but Whole" on Amazon, they are giving you a free digital download of "The Stick of Truth" on PS4 or Xbox One. I have it on my PS3, but I wasn't passing this deal up.

Also if you preorder via the PSN store, and I assume XBL, you get it as well. Not just an Amazon thing.

This game looked amazing at E3, looked really really really great
Is it fun if you're not really a South Park watcher anymore? I watched years ago when it came out for 10ish years, but then just fell away...I remember when Kenny actually died in every episode lol

Thats a good question. I cant say for sure the answer is yes
Its definitely a fun RPG all around, but obviously the South Park stuff isnt just gimmick, it is built on and around the shows world/universe and devices. If I wasn't a South Park fan, I dunno if I would have liked it as much as I did

I watched this past season and really nothing since I went and watched like the first 2 and half seasons last year. Maybe an occasional repeat here and there. And I really enjoyed it. But I couldn't agree more with Killerx. It is a really short game. I beat it in less than 2 days (with sleeping and doing other things). But it was a well thought out game. I probably wanna go through it again as a different character type though.

I'm a South Park fan, but I'll definitely recommend it, too. I had a big smile on my face my entire play through on Stick of Truth. Such a fun game and it was just classic South Park shenanigans. Fractured but Whole is the game I'm looking forward to the most, this year.

I haven't watched South Park in years either and I had a blast with the game. Some specific call-backs to recent shows might slip past, but the humor of them still holds, I think (meaning, I never felt particularly lost or out of the loop withe the jokes). Obviously if you simply don't like South Park's humor or are bored with it, the game won't be as enjoyable, but the way they integrate the show's humor into not only the story, but the game play mechanics is top notch (related to that, playing as the Jew class at least once is a must).
It's a short and very easy game, but it's a fun ride for sure.
