"Come on in, have a seat," Coach Jenkins said as he opened the door to his office."
"So, coach, whats up?" Bryce Baker said to his coach with a puzzled look on his face.
"There is something we have to talk about....and it is serious."
"Yeah, coach, whatever."
"Bryce, do you recognize these pictures?" Coach Jenkins asked as he showed Bryce pictures of him smoking marijuana.
All Bryce did was look at the ground and shake his head.
"Thought so. Now Bryce, when I gave you a scholarship, what did we talk about?"
"No drugs or alcohol, period."
"Exactly. I can't have this, I just can't have it."
"It was one time, just celebrating a good win, thats all."
"I see DJ and Tyrone in this picture, do you see them smoking or drinking?"
"No sir."
"I really don't want to have to say this to you...."
"No....no...." Bryce said as he began to cry.
"I know this is hard, but we are going to have to kick you off the team."
When the word kick came out of Coach Jenkins' mouth, the tears bursted out of the eyes of Bryce Baker.
"I love you, son, but this is best for both of us."
"C'mon, coach, please, one more warning."
"Sorry, but the move is official. We are going to make sure the news outlets think you left the team, so you will be able to play next season, and you will have a reputation."
"This is bulls***, I came here to win, and when I do it, I get kicked off the team???"
"Well, Bryce, you will learn from this. It is the best thing for your career."
