    Also , on top of the posters above, ill add this . Last year they touted CFM as getting more resources than ever, made this huge deal about it and the biggest thing they added was friggin drive goals ( i never saw 1 person ask for) along with a ticker to make sure you knew what your goals were. Changed Menus ( again, this seems to never stop) , and sim a win which was something many actually wanted.

    Now this year they say CFM was a focus, made a big deal about it. Now you can say short dev cycle till your blue in the face. The fact is how they laid this out.First they talked about all the gameplay additions and changes, which seems like quite a large amount of stuff. So you take that and say CFM was a focus, sorry people do have a right to think, well if they added that much to gameplay, and CFM was a focus, it should add alot to it. They didnt.Bottom line. Not to mention Rex telling people on twitter when we would get the CFM Blog , he said saving the best for last.They lead people to believe it would be alot, "short dev" cycle or not. Not my fault, its theirs.

    Also as others said, they have had CFM for 5 years now, and its still very shallow . They need to stop proclaiming its a focus and getting more resources than ever, and coming out with this weak stuff. Again, they are the ones that hyped it.Cant even blame marketing on it.Even Rex did.

    As i said in another post, this whole "continuous development " stuff has yet to even be seen. So thats another thing they keep harping on, so they better deliver with it this year.Not just one small feature added with it.That wont really cut it.Also , they need to think about something with that. Do you know who the majority of people are who are still playing CFM in dec-march? The real core of CFM Players.Most are online leagues, and most all of them HATE having being 3-6 seasons into building a team and then having to scrap it all and restart just to get a feature in that was tossed in a patch.It kind of kills alot of things in an online league because the entire reason most are in them is they like to build a team up and see what they can create thru drafts ,trades and fa.But it really sucks when you just got your team looking how you want , only to have to restart to get a feature that should have already been in the game,thats just now being tossed in .

    So , while this whole "continuous development " sounds great on the surface, its also not that great if its not implimented well. So if they are adding things, they need to add it so that people dont have to just restart everything in order to use it ( ex- xp sliders) .

        Well, I consider commentary part of game-play (what happens during a game). CFM (roster management, draft, free agency, scouting, progression, etc) still feels unimmersive and arcadey to me.

            I know, especially if they implemented coach ratings (+3 man coverage, +3 throw power etc). Imagine having a dominate defense one year and a team signs your defensive coordinator to be their HC, now you go from +3 man coverage to +1 tackle with your new d.coordinator....you got some figuring out to do now.

              I'm not a big franchise guy, so I don't really have an opinion on it. I like the new features like blocking Kicks, I just hope the game has an overall positive balance. The one thing I believe is holding the game back is the same old running animations, the commentary and the sound of the game is nice! The new commentary doesn't seem to match the old running animation. The game sounds new, but still plays like 16 with new features.

                    What changes came out for them??? Show me blogs, vids, etc. There haven't been any posts on here or Twitter touting brand new features for MUT unless you want to include MUT salary cap, which I don't because it can be played in 16.

                      Last i checked MUT got a new feature just a few months ago.... while CFM...not so much.

                      Also, play now- does that really need something more? I mean you are playing a game now...

                      Mut gets attention all year , and the mode is already set up how many that use it like it. Same for DC. Last year they added in the ability to play a friend instead of just a random.

                      Meanwhile CFM was touted as "overhauled" and a new focus on it.Even touted as the best changes made( EX- Rex stating they were saving the best blog for last, talking about CFM)

                      Not our fault CFM needs so much to make the mode what it should be,If the other modes were so far behind they would be getting updraded, you can bet, because they make them more money than our 60$ spent for the game.

                      CFM was touted as something it didnt get once again, second year in row they did this.That is the issue people who play CFM are having an issue with.

                        And in MUT they have the "Style" system, which could be transfered over to CFM, with coordinators adding bonuses like +1 through +5 to things like, man and zone defense ratings, or block shed, or tackle, or play recognition, etc etc.

                        I guess in CFM they have a scheme system that may add something to players if they fit your scheme, but I have no clue how bonuses or negatives from schemes and players who fit or do not fit, work.. In MUT it has been figured out what the bonuses are; at 30 style in a given category, affected ratings get a +3, at 60 style they get a +4 and at 90 they get a +5..

                        Seems a similar method could be done for CFM, as it is a simpler system in my opinion, and in CFM we could bring in coordinators..

                        Then in CFM we could use coordinators to affect game planning bonuses and whatnot.

                          Did any dev claim that any of play now, MUT or DC would be overhauled or would be the focus for this year? No. Did they say CFM would be overhauled? Yes, and it wasn't.

                          And why would draft champions need to be overhauled? It was just created last year. Why would play now need to be overhauled? There's nothing to it other than playing a game...and in that case, there were plenty of improvements because gameplay as well as commentary were both improved. Why would MUT need to be overhauled? I haven't heard anybody complaining that it needs an overhaul.

                            I think coordinators, coach contracts, and the coach carousel from NCAA would have tied into pretty well with the Big Decision direction they are going with in CFM.

                            I think it would be Big Decision on who you choose to replace your hotshot assistant that just got hired to be your division rival head coach. Do you go with someone in house or change things up and bring in the outsider with some unique strengths.

                            They could have had you be able to start as an assistant like in NCAA then each decision in your career arc would be a Big Decision moment.

                            I just feel like they missed an opportunity to tie into their chosen theme while also adding a good bit of depth to the mode.

                              As I said in another thread, people will reject the categorization of "overhauled" if the stuff they wanted added wasn't put in. So basically for at least the next year we're going to hear about how things were misrepresented. It is what it is.

                                I mean overhauled to most implies different. This is the same cfm with the same things you could do in the past only using new menus. Is that really an overhaul? I don't mind when things I want added to make it as long as they show me some effort. Saying cfm was overhauled and then seeing what we got doesn't show me very much effort at all.
