    Ratings Boost Discussion Thread 6-24

It's Thursday which means it's time to try and predict who's ratings are going up or down. List who you think should get that boost/drop.

Michael Saunders: It's time. Thought he might get the boost last week, but he didn't. What did he do? Hit 3 HRs in one game. He's hitting for power from both sides of the plate. And playing far past his 77 ratings. Tomorrow he gets the boost.

    Ian Desmond
: Just recently got a ratings boost, but he has continued to hit and kill left handed pitching. He should see an increase to that, if not tomorrow, in the near future. He bat .345 in May and has followed that up with a cool .368 in June. Should be gold in no time.

CC Sabathia: Rough outing yesterday aside, he's been a beast and anchor for the Yankees. It's time to reward the man with a ratings boost. Should he keep pitching the way he has this year, no reason to believe he won't eventually go gold.

Didi Gregorius: Staying with the Yankees, there has been no one better (maybe Beltran) than Didi Gregorius. He is absolutely slaughtering lefties with his .383 average which means he should see his Cont vs L go up from his paltry 41. He's not hitting for power so he should only see a modest boost.

Paulo Orlando: Talk about coming from out of nowhere. He won't get a crazy boost seeing as how he's only hitting for contact, but he should go from common to bronze.

Michael Fulmer: Can you believe the Mets had this guy in their farm system as well? Talk about having a surplus of pitching. Anyways, he's been a stud for the Tigers. Over his last 6 starts, 4-1 with a 0.48 ERA. I know he just got a boost recently, but he's been too good to not get another one.

Zach Davies: He's on a hot streak which he could parlay into silver status and we all know how valuable silvers on the Brewers are since they sell for a pretty penny. Over his last 7 games, he is 4-0 with a 2.18 ERA. Doesn't walk a great number of batters and has been striking them out at a higher clip recently.

Giancarlo Stanton: If he doesn't drop to a gold tomorrow, I don't know anymore. Justin Upton has been hit like 3 or 4 times since this game has come out while Giancarlo has remained unscathed.

Feel free to post other players that you guys could see getting a ratings boost/decrease. Other guys that are viable for an increase are Mookie Betts who continues to tear the cover off the ball and Matt Carpenter. I considered adding Carlos Gonzalez and Robinson Cano, but they're still not hitting lefties well enough to warrant a boost.

    Really, if you just posted

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It would have made sense based on the last few weeks

Stanton appears to be kind of breaking out of his slump though, so if they didn't downgrade him the few weeks before but they do it now...hmm..

He's been on a nice 7 game stretch, but it doesn't make up for the fact that he's been awful for most of the year. SDS has shown at times to make updates that are retroactive to a previous run so it's possible that this could be the week that they hit Giancarlo even though he has shown some signs of life.

What do you guys think of Jay Bruce and Adam Duvall? Duvall has been on fire and Bruce is hitting pretty good against lefties.

I'm hoping Cano finally goes Diamond. Ziegler should get an increase and Ozuna as well.

Story needs to have a ratings boost. Not saying he needs to be a gold, but unless his defense is that much worse than Seager I don't get how two guys in rookie season can be so far off in ratings when there hitting stats are similar

Seager has a significantly lower K% and about 20 points higher OBP. But defensively, at least this year albeit with a small sample size, Seager is a lot better. His UZR is right now is 5.2, with Story's being -3.8.

Cano won't go diamond. What should he even have moved up?

                    I think Kinsler deserves it.
Jake Lamb looks really good this year.

I know Salazar is already gold but surely the way he's been pitching this year he deserves a bump. Trevor Bauer has been pitching unbelievable for us since the move back into the rotation putting fantastic numbers , an upgrade to silver should be on the cards.

Sabathia and Beltran would get boosts I'd think.

We did pretty good guys. I am surprised Bogaerts went to diamond and McCutchen went down to gold. Cano remains at gold which means I'm losing on my investment.

Some of the players that got boosted like Lamb and Duvall are long overdue. I'm surprised at how hard Stanton and Cutch got hit. I expected both to get hit but not like that. I might be better off buying their rookie versions if I want to try them out instead of buying their "live" versions since I'm not really interested in completing their collections.

One of the bigger updates that they've done, if not the biggest, this season. The Red Sox's collection just got a whole lot more expensive too for those that hadn't started yet. Good thing I had Xander and Mookie before they got some boosts.
