I'm not gonna go back and forth with you on a internet tough man competition. If you read my post correctly the first sentence I said I wasn't calling out Kane specifically. It was more of an observation on EA as a whole. I just don't see other companies have issues with equipment like this. It's always EA. If it's someone else above Kane that is not giving him enough time or not allowing him to make it correct, then that's a problem and I don't see why I can't complain about it. Don't really care if I sound like a child or it's been said a billion times. The more noise you make the more likely you'll be heard. I could be dead wrong, I have no idea what happens behind the curtains, I'm just saying, it's usually EA that has this problem. Enough said, I'm done

Exactly. It's called agenda posting. And it is against the TOS. So I hope he keeps his word and is done.Comment

What does that say about them? thought I was on a forum for constructive criticism? Didn't realize I was in North Korea where you get your hands chopped off for speaking your mind or asking questions. If you guys know the answer to my questions for EA and Kane then by all means... Give specific details! Let's hear it! Why is it that the equipment isn't right. Since your all "in the know" enlighten me! Otherwise I'll keep calling it out as I see it in the game.Comment

Man this pic reminds me of madden 2002, not because the graphics but I'd always play vikings vs packers at my cousins house. Good memories.
On topic these graphics are getting to the point it looks better than the actual games I see on tv.

Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas
I hear both sides. I remember when mike young was at EA . We had a conversation(text) about how the cleats had gone from black and white to team specific colors. I throughout the idea of alternating colors for different players then. His response was that was something to work on for future madden games. That was quite a few years back and we still don't have that option. Now the strides Rex has made with game changers like Kane, mPrice have made the game much better and with greater strides . Does madden impress me every year..... YES!!!! Do I feel confident it's heading to that pinnacle of true sim and accurate football.....YES!!! Should we voice are concerns about what we want negative or positive???..... Absolutely YES!!!. Bottom line is that everyone here has an impact on the game and they are def listening and taking notes.Comment

It's unfortunate things went this way before I could link this, hopefully it helps the validity of your point be reconsidered considering the source of this post:What does that say about them? thought I was on a forum for constructive criticism? I don't pay much attention to uniforms or equipment but for those it matters to I can understand their passion and respect their desire to have it as accurate as possible.Comment

I very well could be missing your point but what point does that post make valid? It's unfortunate things went this way before I could link this, hopefully it helps the validity of your point be reconsidered considering the source of this post:

If anything it solidifies the fact that what we as users want may not coincide with what the NFL wants for whatever reason.
You see a post from Kane before he was a dev and how passionate he was, I'm definitely missing what you're trying to drive home here.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas
Maybe I'm misunderstanding Kane's post but it seems to me he was saying the NFL does in fact make a big deal about uniforms and such being correct, to the point where they fine for them when they are not. My overreaching point was there is a post from someone that went back to working on Madden, defending the validity of wanting even the smallest detail to be right yet this poster is getting it from all angles for seemingly doing the same thing. Not to mention the irony of Kane himself being involved in the interaction, the post seemed very relevant, imo.I very well could be missing your point but what point does that post make valid?

My intent before the poster was banned was to offer up some support that someone actually involved with equipment and such, can likely relate to how they feel but seeing as how they were banned I'd hope maybe it could offer credence to his point. I hate to see anyone seemingly demonized or labeled when others don't agree with them.Comment

Well the poster's point wasn't what got him banned, his point is fine and valid when discussed appropriately.Maybe I'm misunderstanding Kane's post but it seems to me he was saying the NFL does in fact make a big deal about uniforms and such being correct, to the point where they fine for them when they are not. The point of my poorly worded post was that we had a post from Kane before he was a dev showing how frustrated he was with the state of Madden at the time and showing his passion for equipment.
I think it's pretty clear that there is something hindering the EA dev team and it isn't passion about what they are doing.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas
I remember when I thought I could help ea on the players likeness, I made a folder full of what each player (including kickers) wore in the league from head to toe and sent it to ea (guess they threw it away) but point is I at least see that Kane is trying and that's really all we can ask for because before it looked as if ea didn't even care. So baby steps are better than none at all. I'm ok with it. Next yr should be better and so-on.Comment

This is exactly how I feel, I knew they couldn't possibly put everything we requested over the years equipment wise in one installment, my whole excitement came from them even giving equipment some attention again at all, because lets face it they could have ignored it for another year or two and just used the new Frostbite engine as a reason to wait. So label me grateful for the attention they gave to equipment this year.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 17 Screenshot Featuring Under Armour and Adidas
Not in that specific quote but Kane has posted far more critical things than that about the process and like what pat3921 posted, it shouldn't make a difference as long as it's true. The poster didn't even get in trouble for the post you're referring to, presumably because he was being honest about how he saw the situation year over year and not personally attacking anyone. The mere mention of words like "lazy", "half assed", etc in a post shouldn't matter, it's the context they are used in that should.Comment

Actually that does matter because it's against the TOS to use those terms to describe developers.
