Ground and clinch are a joke get used to it. I'll dominate a fight for 3 rounds just to have a guy spam clinch or worse get a luckt trip TD like your video and end the fight after I dropped him 10x with head kicks. Its a joke really it is.

It's not the worst, but it does have its flaws. I still enjoy the game and play it everyday, sure the game can be frustrating at times but at the end of the day it's a video game. Just have fun or don't play it.
People need to understand NO video game is going to be realistic, any sports game out now has flaws and there is never going to be a true 100% sim sports game.
Trust me I complains a lot but it does not mean I don't support this franchise because I do and i have just come to the understanding with myself that if I don't like it then I will just put it down and walk away but I still love it and im waiting for more and more. Also the game has gotten a lot better and is pretty balanced now. (expect for a few hit stuns)Comment

Re: EA Sports UFC 2 Community Impressions
First time in the UFC forum in a month or more (when the big banning happened), so anyway its been that long or longer since I've played UFC 2. This is by far the earliest I've retired a UFC title and here is why.
Stand up game I've grown to hate. Parries are terrible and need to be removed, I've grown to hate them so much I won't buy another UFC or Fight Night which has them.
Extremely poor representation of stamina in my opinion, every fighter is hoped up on bath salts and has the stamina to go until 2017. Lets all do 45 spinning jumping round house kicks because there is no penalty......oh wait supposedly there is a penalty. Oh well do them anyway, the penalty is so small the pay off of laser accuracy + high damage out weight the so called "penalty".
Blocking is over powered, this is one area I felt Fight Night Champions did a good job representing it. Punches could slip through cracks or finding openings. UFC 2 the blocking is perfect and that isn't a proper representation.
Flash knockouts not being in is laughable bad. If stamina, punch accuracy, and blocking were tuned correctly then flash knockouts would fit in perfectly. In the current system I can see why they don't exist, of course it feels to random when you land 35 flying superman punches and the guy keeps on coming forward BUT that small left hook suddenly flash knockouts the opponent....I'd be pissed too lol.
Punch accuracy is far to accurate. This was a huge complaint of mine when I went down for Champions and Brizzo & squad made some changes while we were up there which reduced punch accuracy drastically. It was fantastic and really pumped me up for the release, sadly it was re-tuned back to the higher punch accuracy when it did release. This is pretty much the same situation as UFC 2, all strikes are laser accurate and that leads into far bigger problems like the dreaded "spamming". Reduce accuracy which opens up counters, which stops spamming.
Clinch game is a mess, its far from intuitive like the ground game. Which way are they transitioning? Which way do I deny? Ohhh well I just spam crap until I'm either in the dreaded stand up game again OR better yet I'm finally on the best part of the game......THE GROUND.
Summary: I love the ground game, Clinch is mehhhhhhh, Stand up is in very bad shape. Stand up game is so arcady it has pushed me away from the game completely.Comment

I hear you. The game is a mess. The stamina in this game is so wonky. Unfortunately, offline is shallow and gives little replay value.Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.Comment

I know Dave, it's really unfortunate just how shallow the offline is. I've played its a dozen times or so but after couple fights it gets boring and I'm switching games.Comment

Enjoying my 5 hours free trial of the full game. Find the controls to be complicated and numerous, like the previous UFC game. So many combos to remember. Not sure if I will purchase after my 5 hours, but it's fun to have the trial.BoDEAN -- XBOX LiveComment

The stand-up game has left me as an offline-only guy, completely frustrated with this game. Why there's no flash KO's is beyond me and it seems recently that my strikes do little to no damage, yet the CPU can hit me with 2 jabs (I try and not use high block unless I'm stunned) and that depletes a large portion of my bar.Currently Playing:
