The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.
You can pay to get them down the road. I agree they should be in regardless, but I just don't understand the logic that 2K is ruining this series by having 3 popular superstars in a preorder. The game should be better this year
Because it's not just these 3....you know there will be at least 3 packs of wrestlers on top of this that we would need to pay for.
Re: WWE 2K17 NXT Edition Announced with Exclusive Content
I could look it up (and will later if nobody knows now), but does anyone know offhand how this compares to other fighting game DLC pricing? And in structure (meaning, some content not part of a season pass)?
Re: WWE 2K17 NXT Edition Announced with Exclusive Content
Well done 2k. This just went from a day 1 purchase to a no buy. To be quite honest, Nakamura was one of the main reasons I wanted to buy the game, but I'm sure as hell not dropping $100 on it.
Re: WWE 2K17 NXT Edition Announced with Exclusive Content
Really -_-
I mean I love the Nakamura autograph, but what the hell am I going to do with a trading card and a statue of a man in a speedo and facepaint? Definitely wouldn't be displaying that in my place
On top of all of that, it doesn't even come with a season pass. Looks like I'll have to wait those 90 days for the DLC to be released. I'd rather only pay $25-$30 for a season pass than $40+the season pass for 3 wrestlers that are ALREADY locked away on the disc and the rest of the DLC packs.
I was totally gonna buy this game on day 1. This just moved to probably an after Christmas purchase (or whenever the Nakamura DLC comes out).
2K is quickly ruining this series....if you buy a game everyone should be playable. If you want to make us have to unlock characters that's one thing. But half the roster you are going to wind up having pay additional cash for.
dude you can't be for real. if it wasn't for 2k we wouldn't have a sim style series THQ is what ruined this series. i can understand being upset but the dlc will be released in a month's time anyway just like hogan was so chill out
On the contrary, I'm gonna guess these characters will be publicly available behind a $10 pay wall in like February.
Unlike every single one of its contemporaries, this series' developer never meaningfully extends the game without expecting cash immediately in return, which is a big reason why WWE 2K in my opinion has easily the worst track record of post-release support among all AAA sports and fighting games.
dude chill. they will be released in a month's time just like Hogan Sting Paige and the 2 terminators were.you people bitch and complain too much. first you ask for these people then you get them and you go the "they should be on disc" route. not to mention this is a hell of alot cheaper than say battle front. yes it sucks they aren't included with the season pass. but exclusives never are. look at arkham knight, hell look at nba2k they do the same exact thing yet i don't ever see anyone complaining about that. if people hadn't started asking for a nxt collector's edition on the 2k forums this may not have happened.. yes it's a cash cow, because 2k realizes how popular nxt and shinsuke is. you may want to blame bryan williams cause he's responsible for the moves packs. WWE2K15: Shinsuke's moves for 2$ WWE2K16: More of Shinsuke's moves for 2$ WWE2K17: Shinsukes full moveset entrance and model for 40 bucks. it is what it is. i already preordered the DDE. cause it comes with the season pass and i'm almost confident that the DLC will be released by the middle if not end of november. if you can't wait that long then that's sad on your part.
Furthermore, 2K is bringing this series to heights we've never seen before. WWE 2K16 was easily one of the best games in the WWE games series. 2K is better than what THQ would've given us. I expect 2K17 to be even better.
well said man. anyone saying that the series was better in thq's hands is someone that probably is still on last gen lol. but yeah i still play 2k16 despite it's flaws in fact i have 3 universes going so i'm good lol

just get the digital deluxe for 80, comes with the pass, buy the 3 nxt characters when they release in late november.. problem solved
$99 for 3 exclusive talents and a figure and it doesn't include the season pass. I just want the entire roster available from the beginning. If your just buying the base game you have to wait until it's released in late 2016/early 2017.
or you could just get the digital deluxe for 90 bucks, and buy the 3 characters in late november for around 8 or 9 bucks. there's your 100$ right there and you would also have the season pass. for real stop crying and bitching when it's not even that damn serious

And in this case, these three actually are on the disc. Cool.
not to mention this is a hell of alot cheaper than say battle front.
Not sure what Battlefront has to do with this, but let's check it out.
Battlefront game $60
Season Pass $50
'Complete' game $110
WWE2K game $60
Season Pass $25 (presumably)
Digital Deluxe $90
NXT Enhancement pack - $5-10?
'Complete' game - $90-$100
Eh, close enough.

What wasn't included in the Arkham Knight season pass? Also, there's an NBA2K season pass? Do I get the new rookies that were just drafted?!
Other than that, not much of what you said was actually a counter for anything CM Hooe said. Also, friendly tip - multiquote and combine your posts.
