Hello,
*File is now done with fielding edits through AL. I have found three separate slider sets to apply to season sim to nearly perfect sim stats.*
WATCH THIS VIDEO IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE MOST ACCURATE SIM STATS FOR MLB 2016:
The Hybrid Roster is the best and this game is incredible. After studying the sim engine, I have come as close as I think we can get to realistic sim stats that reflect the MLB in 2016. Here is a video with the AL East completed – except for Position edits and fielding edits. I have not done the MILB yet. I can post the tweaks you need to do if ya’ll want to apply it to your season.
All Credit should go to the staff of Hybrid Roster and OldTimey for his observations on how to structure the BP. Thank You SCEA for this fun game.
Tweaks to Improve Sim Stats using Hybrid Rosters (V-1 or V-2)
*First – Edit All SP’s Stamina.
IP – Stamina Rating
220+=85
215-219=84
210-214=83
205-209=82/81
200-204=80/79
195-199=78/77
194-190=76
189-185=75
184-180=74
179-175=73/72
174-170=71/70
169-165=69/68
164-160=67/66/65
Summary of Edits For SP’s (Tiered)
Rating after Stamina editing:
85+= no rating edits
84-80 = (-2) for both H/9 AND HR/9
79-75 = (-5) same
74-70 = (-7) same
69-65 = (-8) same
64-and below = (-8)
*For SP's with less than 200 Career IP and Rookie SP’s – apply stamina edits like this (except in cases where-in you deem it necessary not too):
“C” rating = 65-67 rating
“B” rating = 69-71 rating
“A” rating = 73-75 rating
Then, when you edit their H/9 AND HR/9 – only subtract HALF THE RATINGS POINTS.
Example: if his overall is 73 after stamina edits, then DO NOT SUBTRACT (-7) FROM HIS RATINGS FOR H/9 AND HR/9 – Instead, (-4) from those two ratings.
*For RP's with Less than 100-Career IP, I suggest subtracting HALF on the Point Scale - Like I suggested with The Rookies and Other SP's under 200-IP so far in there Career.
Summary of Edits For RP’s (Tiered) - Not necessary to edit RP’s Stamina.
85+= no rating edits
84-80 = (-3) for both H/9 AND HR/9
79-75 = (-5) same
74-70 = (-7) same
69-65 = (-7) same
64-and below = (-7)
Closer's Edits – not necessary edit their stamina.
Lowest Clutch Rating: 80
Check there stats and whatever there save % is for last 100-SVO’s, then that % is their Clutch Rating. Example: 85-saves and 15-blown saves in last 100-SVO’s = Clutch Rating of 85.
Also, add +3 rating points to the Closers: H/9 – HR/9 – SO/9 – BB/9
There is a problem in the sim engine, as there are too many BSV’s. I think this is because the cpu will always bring in the Closer in every save situation, even if the Closer’s Stamina is shot and low. SCEA needs to fix this and if the Closer’s Stamina is 50 % or less, then the next best option should be put in for that SVO.
Fielding Edits:
Catcher – do not edit
1st Base – do not edit
2nd Base – (-10 for Fielding Ability and Throwing Accuracy and -5 to Reaction)
3rd Base – same
SS – same
All OF’s – do not edit
I put all injured players in “A” ball and that create a google calendar that tells me when I should bring each player back. I do the same for player suspensions. Also, whenever a player get a 6+ month, season ending injury, I remove the injury and put him in “A” ball. This way, you should not see false retirements when the season ends. And you can also edit the player down a bit before next season starts to reflect the impact of the injury of that fella.
Slider For Quick Sim games AFTER all edits are made to get best stats.
I suggest this:
*Starter Stamina - 1
*Reliever Stamina - 1
*Manager Hook - 5/6/7
*Fielder Speed - 4
*Fielder Reaction - 1
*Injury - 8
I have yet to do thorough sim slider testing, as I am editing in-season and only have 7-teams nearly finished. I am not sure how to apply these edits to the MILB. I would edit any Pitcher that you bring up from MILB to MLB to keep things consistent. Maybe wait till 2017 and see what Pitcher's are in MLB and then edit those folks.
Any questions or input is welcome.
Have Fun
