The clip that showed the slot WR come in to try and block on a run play looked good to me, it wasn't sticky at all.

Might actually be able to run a zone defense scheme this year.

I ran 90% zone in Madden 16 and was always top ten defense in all my online leagues. You just have to mix it up. Call zones that confuse. Mix in zone blitzes. Do some occasional man-zone. Etc.

I guess I'm one of the only ones who doesn't get hung up on player movement. Not saying its good, but I guess I'm just used to it and it doesn't bother me like it does others.

I really liked 16. Not a great game, but very solid. So I am sure I will like 17 and I'm excited for it.

You're not one of the only ones, it's just that the ones that care about it, really, really care about it, they're basically the video game equivalent of a single issue voter. The whole game is critiqued through the angry lens of hating the movement. It is what it is.

If you're trying to read that, Mathieu shouldn't be able to make that play. Some get hung up, as you say, because the lack of transition animations affect gameplay, heavily.

You're not one of the only ones, it's just that the ones that care about it, really, really care about it, they're basically the video game equivalent of a single issue voter. The whole game is critiqued through the angry lens of hating the movement. It is what it is.

Some of you simply have no respect for an opposing view. If you like it, cool. But why bash those that don't?

Or do you really view the animations of a video game as a single thing?

Putting together some video montage of things that can and do happen in M17, is in no way indicative of the game as a whole, it would be the same thing if anyone put together a M17 montage of issues, what really matters is how prevalent are they in the game as a whole.

All these tweets claiming this has been tuned and that has been fixed so at this point I'd just like to see some uncut game play, preferably before EA access. Right at 3 weeks from the actual game being playable through EA access yet all we have is sparse video clips to parse through.

They said there would be new "camera angles" not gameplay cameras. They were talking about presentation camera angles. It's already been confirmed there are no new gameplay cameras. We seriously need a Custom camera option back though.

Rex said they would be streaming the game closer to release. So when that happens we should be getting some uncut game play.

Trying to read what now? And sorry you didn't like my term "hung up." I didn't mean it in a negative way.

And if you wanna say some animations effect gameplay, of course they do. This happens in every game. Do you play The Show? I can give you tons of instances where animations have cost me games, no hitters, and perfect games.

I, myself, personally, don't let the issues effect my enjoyment of the game as much as others. That's all I'm trying to say.

Well besides the obvious of getting to see it sooner is better than having to wait till later, there's the fact that this year they was very little uncut game play period, even for E3/EA Play, unlike previous years and with all the claims about what's been tuned and/or fixed since that build, I'd like to see how it looks now. Not to mention they never can get too early a jump start on the next applicable patch from visual issues the many eye's of the community can catch that the few of EA Tib might have missed.

I fail to see why it wouldn't matter from a gamers POV, maybe you'll elaborate on your opinion.

You won't see Tiburon release extensive footage of the game as much at E3 time anymore because the game isn't done at that point in time. I'm reasonably sure Madden just went gold master very recently - around the same time No Man's Sky did, but Madden has more first-party certifications to pass, thus the longer lead time. They're probably still working on the zero-day patch as we speak as well.

Point being, no footage they release at E3 or even now is going to be representative of the game we receive in late August, so it does nothing but hurt EA to release footage of the unfinished game. Any bugs that show up in that footage to turn off the hardcore crowd are going to hurt them, even if those bugs get patched by launch day. This is similar to the reasoning why there are no-filming policies at the E3 / EA PLAY / similar trade shows.

It's not about "hiding" the game; it's about putting forth to the consumer and the media the best product possible.

Agreed. For the life of me, I don't see why a game developer wouldn't want showcase their game with pure, unedited gameplay. 2 months of edited videos with very little commentary won't get a buy from me.
