    Fathers, Sons & Madden

How many of you guys have sons that are gamers? Now, answer this...do you share a console with your son or does he have a separate console of his own? I know we have a lot of avid gamers up here who spend countless hours in Franchise and online. Is there enough time for you to get your gaming in as well as your son as well? Trying to decide if me and my son will continue to share or if I should get him his own.

I have a son who is 7. We used to share th Xbox one. I would do most the playing but I would let him run the ball now and then. All is cousins have a ps4 so I got him one for Christmas this year. So I am now in the cellar and I play a lot less. He's actually quite the gamer. He's beaten both uncharted 1 and 2 in less than a week without any help from me. He's more into nba 2k and playing online on the courts than madden.

Personally my favorite memories of playing madden are when I was 5-8 playing Madden 2000 and 04 franchise with my dad. So if keeping 1 console makes you guys play games together more. I would do that. If you guys would play games together regardless then get him his own.

My son and I each have a PS4 and we will each sit in separate rooms with a headset chatting. When we shared one, we tended to rake turns and rarely games together. He's leaving for basic next June so once he gets a permanent duty station we should be able to seamlessly transition to gaming no matter the distance.

I have sons and daughters that play right now they use a 360 but maybe one day get a second ps4 hopefully. 360 games are cheap and they like it. Not much into sport games though maybe one day

It's much easier to have your own console. My son got a ps4 first that he keeps in his room then I decided to get an xb1 for variety. We play Madden once in awhile or Gears of War but I mainly use it for Madden offline franchise so I actually can play it when I want/have time.

I'm in the same boat. My 14 year old just couldn't get into playing Madden or sports period. He more into Call of Duty and GTA. He has his own PS4. Gotta see what I can do with my 2 year old son when he gets older. Haha!

Thusis from a teenager who plays madden with his dad still.
We have done fantasy draft cfm the past two years in a row and I feel like we've been closer then we have ever been. I know it sounds cheesy but just something about it makes it special and fun to play, we always look forward to play our games week after week and advance the season, it gives us more stuff to talk about, it makes every release more and more important becase we talk about what they're adding to the game. I am glad I have a dad who not only is as passionate about football as I am but someone who can play every single game in your season for 5 years on madden 16 and still stick with it play it with you, that's awesome.

I have a 7yr old and we share our systems. He is at the age where he plays madden and mlb show on the easiest settings so he can blow teams out. I really hope to have a relationship like JCole posted about with him in the future. We started a show franchise and it's worked out great as you can mix up who does what. We are always talking about who we need to trade for and it's really helped him in little league with awareness.

After a year if discussing it with my wife, I gave my nephew a ps4 so my brother in law can rejoin my CFM. They tried sharing and splitting time but my brother didn't want to take his son off the ps4, instead they decided to play games locally together or problem solving games with one coaching the other.

Come nba, Fifa and madden time they each have their own leagues/mut so it was time for my nephew to get his own ps4.

I ended up buying him his own Xbox1 yesterday and the look on his face was priceless. We will still play against each other and yet he'ok have the freedom to play with his friends at any time without worrying about me occupying time. I thought having 2 different systems was the best route to go.
