    Madden Effect

First year to really play DD. I am curious what the effect of Madden release will be on the market. I have scratched and clawed up to about 180k stubs, mainly because I hate "playing" the market, I'd rather play the game. So if I wait a couple weeks will the market start coming down ?

Any historical perspective would be appreciated.

    Re: Madden Effect

This is my first year playing a ton of DD, I've noticed the substantial drop in prices in the market since the all-star break (minus the premium cards--i.e. Cabrera/Tulowitzki) for most cards. I hope that the market keeps dropping as well, I believe the flooding of good cards should help the market drop as the developers have been adding supply (hopefully decreasing demand).

Typically the market won't change because those who leave the game in favor of madden don't sell their cards but just leave the game.

Yeah, I feel like the result will just be cards sitting on people's inactive accounts.

Yep, that's what happened to me last year.

Then before this year's game I went and sold all my guys (Trout was worth 20k lol) so I could purchase RTTS points for my guy before importing him over.

Also any input on when the market does "crash" ?

You know what would be nice? If MLB The Show had a site like Muthead, where the community could legally trade our stubs for MHC. Which is basically the equivalent to virtual currency.

I remember last year I had roughly 9 million of coins traded in for MHC,, and it's all legal! I can now use the currency when Madden 17 comes out...

I think it would be a good idea if SDS set up some sort of virtual currency site for The Show,, that way ppl who quit will be encouraged to sell their players for virtual currency to use for next year...

                  Thoughts?

But everybody starts with 0 stubs when a new version comes out. I don't understand how they do it in MUTHead.
