ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my bad ok i see it i was looking at it like it was saying WR you can move to HB but its saying you can move HB to WR........yeah thats dumb

Another fair point. Without the ability to assign defensive match-ups, I could see this sort of flexibility being a point of frustration and creating exploits.

I still would rather have unlimited flexibility myself, but again, I understand the mindset.

But, that's literally why offenses do these things. To create matchup disadvantages for the defense. Granted, the defense does need to have a matchup option to better handle these situations. But this thing isn't going to exist in ranked h2h where cheesers run rampant. In a controlled CFM, I think it'd be fine.

Just glad I can sub packages at all. To me I think the subbing will get more flexible in 18 edition.

You're looking for snap-count-at-position information, which as far as I know only Pro Football Focus tracks. As such, you'll have to pay money to get that information if you want it.

Football Outsiders might? Maybe? I'm not sure.

if they're worried about people cheesing with formation subs in online leagues they should at least have let people in offline franchises have full customization of formation subs (put any player anywhere you want). im a little bummed I can't put WR at HB and etc.

And clearly an attempt to cheese imo. What teams actually do this? Cobb does it on occasion, who else?

No team that I could think of. Teams will occasionally put a WR in and run a sweep or something, but rarely do these plays have success anyway.

...b/c I don't quite understand how some can be so UP in arms about a feature that didn't even exist (to us) 48 hours ago. It's essentially a bonus feature. How can it be so scrutinized?

Wow, tough crowd in here. This went from a "wait till next year" feature just a couple of months ago to being in the game and I'm seeing so much bitching about the restrictions. *Shrugs* what ever floats your boat I guess but the fact that we even have this in on day 1 seems like a win-win. There is still room for improvement. I am also leery of the bugs that this could introduce in a short dev cycle. I wonder if that is the reason for the restrictions?

Oh well I am happy to see this and will allow me to create a more dangerous Red Zone package with Jordan Reed lined up on smaller CBs outside since Redskins lack height on the outside.

you can sub HB in at WR but not sub a WR in at HB
