That's accounted for with the development trait.

It's a three-level system, three factors determine how much XP a player gets from Training:

    - drill result (gold / silver / bronze medal; the better the medal, the more XP every player earns)
    - depth chart position (this simulates the concept of your first-team players getting more reps in practice than your second- and third-team players)
    - development trait (after being stratified by depth chart position, players with a better development trait will earn more XP)

Despite wearing a DB number Cravens has been lining up and practising with the ILBs throughout training camp from what I've read. Not working with the safety group

        No exploit convo. Thanks.
I'm not sure what you mean, but when I did this, putting DBs at Linebacker, it was to nano blitz. It was very explotive, which is why I understand why they restricted that. So, it's very much apart of the conversation. Not trying to upset people

Come on guys, complaining about not being able to sub a WR for HB? let's be real.......only certain teams will line up a WR in the backfield and then only with specific formations. Choose a playbook that has that option. That is more of a formation package than a formation sub.

It would be nice if they had line up restrictions in MUT too.....plus they should change the rules on having more than one of the same player on the field, it should be by name not card type and OVR.....just saying

I'm just glad this feature is back. It was tiresome having to find exact shotgun formations just to put the 1 in the slot

No WR at RB even though several teams do it in real life every game? makes sense....

Except this part is ridiculous. Teams don't practice that way - 1s vs 1s. No football team at any level above high school does. 1st team offense practices against the backups/practice squad on defense, while the 1st team defense does the same. Experienced vets will get limited reps in practice, just enough to understand the game plan for the next game. 2nd team players will get reps both with the 1st unit and with the backups and in fact end up getting the most practice reps out of any group. So if that is the reasoning, it is based on fallacy and not reality. Depth chart position should have no bearing on how XP is earned.

so now that I can finally to subs, will I have to make up a 32 team set up and then edit each teams subs or will there be a way to set subs for all 32 in an easier way?

You'll need to use 32 team control and edit every team. I just wish you could use custom rosters with formation subs edited for all teams. Im not a huge fan of 32 team control.

Do we know we won't be able to upload rosters with formation subs edited for all teams? I hadn't seen that.

With the way it's set up I highly doubt it

I doubt it being that It's only for franchise mode. You also can only set them up in your Coach screen.

If you don't want to use 32 team control, you should PROBABLY be able to simply create the opposing HC for your CPU opponent before you play them in any given week and then set up that coach's formation subs...

After playing the game, you SHOULD be able to simply "retire" that CPU HC before advancing to the next week...

                              It's a variation on last's year's Drive Goals workaround...

In M16, after I created that week's CPU opponent HC, I was able to buff up their depth chart / match their player styles to their settings in the Scheme Menu and "optimize" my opponent before playing them...

IF things work the same way this year, I can now add maximising their formation sub settings to that mix...

Not ideal, but keeps the CPU teams trading amongst each other and competitive in FA and the draft without my USER input on their clubs, like 32 team control does...

yea I didn't have 16, but iused the workaround in 15, the auto sub thing is why I skipped 16, too many years without it, I think though ill be getting this one, I wonder if the workaround will still work cause id rather not have to control all 32

I have 16 lol I forgot I even had it and used the workaround
