Re: NBA 2K17 Features Revamped Rebounding, Fatigue, & Steal Systems (IGN)
Have you ever notice any difference in a players' performance when fatigued, other than running slower and dunks becoming layups?Comment

Every 7 footer can dunk, rebound, block shots and play above the square. Edy Tavarez is even a beast in 16. Hope that changes.Psn: Alabamarob

Yeah, I could roll with that. I'm perfectly fine with on the ball steals as is. It was "staring AT the ball, but still couldn't steal it" situations that really got underneath my skin.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Features Revamped Rebounding, Fatigue, & Steal Systems (IGN)
To me it looks like it is two things Every rebound isn't automatically going to to go to one guy that snatches the board. 2K has been programmed like this for a long time. You may jump and somebody tips it away from you or you may tip away or towards a teammate. This is the closest we came to getting a tap out or some form of rebounding "live ball".
They even added tip shots from rebounding which don't happen enough hardly at all in the game currently especially for guys who do this a lot like Drummond.
Drummond gets a lot of his offense boards from tipping shots which count as a rebound and shot. Drummond gets like two of these tip shots per game out of his 13 shots he takes. That is like 2 out of his total 5 OREB/game are actually tip shotsComment

The fatigue part sounds nice.
Players reaction slows down when they are fatigued and susceptible to injuries . That is next level realism right there.
Somebody is going to be mad when a player didn't rotate or screws up a rotation because they are tired.Comment

I took this to mean the big man steal or perhaps the driving animation steal. Maybe not as easy?Blumberg said stealing the ball also had a significant revamp, so it’s not abused as much as it was last year’s games.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Features Revamped Rebounding, Fatigue, & Steal Systems (IGN)
I always thought players actually got too tired too fast. In real life players do get fatigued, maybe take a couple plays off, first step isn't quite as explosive.. But in no way to they ever start missing layups, jumpers, effect their whole game to the extent of how it happens on the video game.. Maybe in the 4th quarter of a back to back game ending a 6 game road trip, but not your average every day game or a quick play now or online match.
Stealing attempts have been ****ed for awhile. Dudes just swiping at the air and lunging 5 feet past the ball handler when he isn't even moving. Press steal and he swipes to the left when the offensive player is dribbling to the opposite side, the steal animation completely ruining your defensive positioning and stance.. Hope all that **** is gone.
