Can't pass on play action

So I just started playing my trial for Madden 17. I'm having a huge issue running play-action passes. For some reason, after the fake, I can't do anything as the QB. The receiver icons don't show up, and I can't even sprint to avoid the pass rush. Has anyone else heard of this happening?

Yeah, I had an issue with PA while I was in Draft Champions. I streamed it over twitch if you want to verify this. My username there is kevlarAK.

I will have to play some more after I am done cooking on the grill. I may find myself too busy with family stuff to report back until tomorrow though.

Were you able to fix it somehow? I'm currently reinstalling to see if that helps.

I think it is part of the new PA mechanic, as the game does a better job selling the PA as a run. If the Icons come up, it sort of gives it away. I like how PA is now, but maybe they should adjust it so that it doesn't screw with offense so much.

I have no idea what caused it. It was incredibly frustrating though. Literally the only thing I could do was move the left stick. I couldn't even sprint. The good news is that reinstalling the game seems to have fixed it.

I was having this problem too. It stopped after I installed the commentary update but havent had much time to test.

tried last night on a PA and my icons wouldn't come up and I couldn't sprint I was kinda stuck behind my RT and took the sack wasn't very happy

I had this problem in Draft Champions. I don't have it anymore. Maybe quoting out of Madden, and doing a hard reset of your console will do the trick for you? The OP deleted and reinstalled the game. We are on Xbox One btw.

I've tried about 4 PA passes and have been sacked all 4 times. The icons come up but as soon as my QB finishes the fake handoff a defender is always right on top of him.

If you guys are doing PA-RO they took away the ability to sprint after the fake (a good thing). If you have a good 'throw on the run QB' you can pass during the roll out animation like in real life.

There is a brief pause at the end to limit immediate sprints to the sideline, same deal when not running PA-RO.

Also on base PA passes I have had no issues, IMO Madden did a lot of good with these changes.

I'm on PS4. I backed up my saves and deleted and reinstalled and I'm not getting the issue any more. I haven't gotten the commentary update this time, I'm holding off on that for the time being. It really shouldn't be anything with that that's doing it, but I don't want to have to reinstall all over again in case that is an issue.

Yes it is occurring in both play now and practice and I think it's even affecting the CPU ..sounds like I need to reinstall game
