MyCareer is lying to us
So I was recently messing around in 2k16 and decided to recreate my 6'2" MyCareer PG and put him into a custom roster. I Used all of his exact stats, badges, etc. and noticed that when I was done, He was only an 82 Overall. In MyCareer it says I'm a 94 overall. I really hate how MyCareer gives us a false sense of stardom. I want to know how good my player actually is. I really hope this is something that is fixed in 2k17. -

Yeah, because it's not like you can't edit that player in a custom roster.

Re: MyCareer is lying to us
You can also take your player to a blacktop game and check his rating there.. that's how I discovered the overall ratings in 2k16 MC were fabricated

Re: MyCareer is lying to us
Anyone remember that Proam used to show your real rating and people threw a sh*t for about it and 2k had to drop a patch just to make it show your MC rating instead of the true one.
Btw guards seem to be rated a lot lower than bigs as most guards I played with on Proam where MC 99s but in there only mid 80s while my center who as a mid 80 in MC was rated as mid 90s there

Re: MyCareer is lying to us
As I was playing last night, I was saying that I hope it's harder to achieve mid to high 90's next year. I'd like to see more variety out there.Always looking for solid CF25 Dynasty owners, follow the link to get started >> PS5 P5 Dynasty DiscordComment

Re: MyCareer is lying to us
Blame Pro-Am.
My best guess, is that as an effort to balance the gameplay and not have a superstar type of player, 2K pretty much made MC 99's to be really a 91-94 player at best. Every 2 attribute upgrades is one overall point.
Why? It wanted to force players to fill a role, instead of everyone to be superstars.
I like it how it is.Comment

Originally posted by LO6IXSomeone here found this a few months ago. I think it's bs. My 96 overall 6'6 SG is basically a rich man's Nic Batum. I'm just hoping that we can choose play styles like we could in 2k10-2k14 and create legit 99s if we put in the work.
What 6'2" point guard can do a standing dunk with a 75 vertical?Comment
