The trailer was good but it didn't really get me hyped at all. It's about a month too late. We know 2k can put together a good trailer; at this point I just wanna hear more about the different game modes.Comment

Liked the trailer but it fell a bit flat for me, didn't get me hyped like I think it was supposed to. Then again I'm going to be preordering anyway so I don't really need to be won over.Comment

Preach G. No reason Reggie Jackson and Chris Bosh are built like Brandon Ingram, it doesn't even work for KD (and neither does that giraffe neck). Makes no sense that Lebrons muscle definition is accurately depicted but the same can't be said for Westbrook or Jimmy or PG. Why tf does Dwight still have that fade that he's NEVER had in real life? It's baffling that the art department can scoff at things so visually jarring in an otherwise beautiful game. When I see stuff that's as far off as some of the depictions of these players I literally cringe. Sure there are definite positives like Horford, Curry, and the continual love shown for D Rose lol. Ingram looks great, Simmons looks awesome. The presentation aspects continue to look better and better. My issue is just that when there are obvious flaws in things like player models, don't laugh it off because there was a bunch of hard work put into the product that's being put out. We all have to respect and appreciate 2k for being the best basketball simulation game out there, we're all grateful for the immense effort the devs put into the game each year but wrong is wrong and while there's plenty of good in the game, from what I've seen in these screenshots and the trailers, there's plenty that's wrong as well. I just want to see these issues taken seriously because continually overlooking them is deminishing the quality of the game IMO.The funny thing about the Dwight Howard hair, 2k for whatever reason gave him that high fade in a patch in 2k15 and he's had it since. Problem is, he never had that haircut, ever lol. It was a poor attempt at mimicking his fauxhawk at least from the front angle.
As I watch through again, although Im aware it's been beaten to death but for good reason, the body types are stressing me out lol.
It seems like everyone who is thin got the KD high school body type, and I'm sorry that's just wrong.
Bosh was skinny enough in 2k16, he looks horrendous in 2k17. Yes it works for Ingram, but that's about it.
Da_Czar can make fun of the community's response to the body type issue all he wants, fact of the matter is, I don't want to hear the words "body scan" anymore cause it's rather insulting at this point. There's still only a handful of body types that are just assigned to each player, and it looks like they maybe added 2 to the 7 they had in 2k16 (assuming they didnt remove any).
Because of that lack of variety, the gap between players that are too skinny and players that are too wide is obvious. And other than David Robinson's bicep (which still isn't enough for him) in the screen shot that greats us at the top of the page everytime we load up this forum in our browser, the body fat to muscle mass ratio is just jarringly inappropriate. Skinny guys are included in that.
Yes it looks good on some guys, Zach Randolph, Brandon Ingram, LeBron, and Draymond are lucky that 2k happens to have their body type (minus LeBron having fat legs). But again, with less than 10 choices for body types, there are obviously going to be these problems where maybe 25 guys look great, and most look off.
The fact that a players weight also has absolutely no effect on their body type, is sub-problem with this. Including when you change someone's weight from say 195 to 235, they stay exactly the same. Even Madden has the ability to change this (up to like 290lbs at least lol)Comment

It's honestly shocking at this point, what's even funnier will be if those skinny body types are selectable for MyPlayers and weight doesn't tie into strength, so we'll see rail thin 210 pound 7'3" centers with 99 strength.
Weight should affect strength and body type, but I'm willing to bet that it wont.Comment

They could easily copy last years Tross model onto Paul George.

Re: NBA 2K17 Trailer - Friction
This is actually a big issue to me because it effects every game I play. I'm tired of hitting a big 3 and the crowd going silent. Or the playoff bug where the crowd noise stays the same for the entire game.
Fingers crossed they finally fixed this.Comment
