I certainly agree now after seeing the contrast here.. defenitly would prefer to see the arm holes hold a tighter squeeze around the pits and shoulder blades like they do on their counterparts.

I feel like this is one of the things where it's literally impossible to miss.

I can understand things like "muscle definition" or "calves", etc ALL not being 100% since that's constantly changing throughout the year of the actual season. Same with things such as accessories as well.

Crowd reactions on the other hand...you have 1000s upon 1000s and years upon years of actual live game crowd reactions at certain points(when you're going on a run after being down during the game or a block/shot that changes the game, etc)to the point where you have NO excuse to not get that right and for this to still be an issue 5-6 years later.

This my last post in the thread, but it's very clear that the NBA Live artists were getting things right that NBA 2K's were just plain not able to get. Look at the symmetry in faces in NBA Live compared to 2K's. I'm not even gonna go on the body models anymore. Most of these guy's don't have the short fat faces that the 2K artists are giving them. NBA Live didn't get everything right, but most of their faces are flat out better. I appreciate their art more now.

i got into full on debates last year with friends about how Live looked compared to 2K. I thought last year Live really took a leap forward, visually. too bad their gameplay was still from Bulls vs Blazers.

I feel like there is something really wrong with how 2K14 lighting is too tbh. It doesn't look that good. The court looks low res, and the lighting and reflections are just strange to me.

I agree, my gripe is actually getting the rights to see Madison Square Garden on the floor and on Jumbotron. Also having the 3 point line blue. The actual shade of the blue paint doesn't bother me as much as the naming rights.

I remember some years back, 2k had the half court line wrong for the lakers. Lots of people here on OS pointed it out and they actually fixed it. I don't think it's enough of us pointing out the 3 point line in "Knicks Arena"

As I watch through again, although Im aware it's been beaten to death but for good reason, the body types are stressing me out lol.

It seems like everyone who is thin got the KD high school body type, and I'm sorry that's just wrong.

Bosh was skinny enough in 2k16, he looks horrendous in 2k17. Yes it works for Ingram, but that's about it.

Da_Czar can make fun of the community's response to the body type issue all he wants, fact of the matter is, I don't want to hear the words "body scan" anymore cause it's rather insulting at this point. There's still only a handful of body types that are just assigned to each player, and it looks like they maybe added 2 to the 7 they had in 2k16 (assuming they didnt remove any).

Because of that lack of variety, the gap between players that are too skinny and players that are too wide is obvious. And other than David Robinson's bicep (which still isn't enough for him) in the screen shot that greats us at the top of the page everytime we load up this forum in our browser, the body fat to muscle mass ratio is just jarringly inappropriate. Skinny guys are included in that.

Yes it looks good on some guys, Zach Randolph, Brandon Ingram, LeBron, and Draymond are lucky that 2k happens to have their body type (minus LeBron having fat legs). But again, with less than 10 choices for body types, there are obviously going to be these problems where maybe 25 guys look great, and most look off.

The fact that a players weight also has absolutely no effect on their body type, is sub-problem with this. Including when you change someone's weight from say 195 to 235, they stay exactly the same. Even Madden has the ability to change this (up to like 290lbs at least lol)
                            Truth.
