Re: NBA 2K17 Trailer - Friction
Yeah i get you but on the other hand some things are definitely noticeable whether you yourself notice it or not.
I'm not trying to get into it though. This forum has kinda turned me off and i honestly dont care to even attempt to give feedback here anymore.
I'll be enjoying the work all the devs put in together when it drops im sure like i always do.Comment

Look I'm not saying people are wrong for their opinion or anything of the sort, just stating mine.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

Re: NBA 2K17 Trailer - Friction
I see a lot of people saying 2K (VC) only has so many months to work on the game, etc.
If it means them skipping a year to get things right (even smaller things that should not be that hard, like getting bodies/uniforms/courts right), then maybe they should do it.
I realize they wouldn't do that ($$$$$$), but it'd probably be for the best.Comment

Re: NBA 2K17 Trailer - Friction
Personally, as long as the animations are fluid, I'm not too fussed about the minor details of a player's face. I probably wouldn't even notice their muscle definition too much "in-game" when the camera is zoomed out.Comment

Live definitely does some things better in the art, visual department but I feel like that doesn't always translate from a gameplay camera. gameplay and animation could play a role here. Life like, photo realistic graphics lose usually an edge when the animations aren't fluid. Whatever it is I always think Live looks great in screenshots a even trailers but while playing I'm not as impressed. This my last post in the thread, but it's very clear that the NBA Live artists were getting things right that NBA 2K's were just plain not able to get. Look at the symmetry in faces in NBA Live compared to 2K's. I'm not even gonna go on the body models anymore. Most of these guy's don't have the short fat faces that the 2K artists are giving them. NBA Live didn't get everything right, but most of their faces are flat out better. I appreciate their art more now.

Players look more unrealistic or something. Cartoony even. Just not blown away by this.

But you have to remember what the developers want and what the publisher wants and says are two different things. Rob Jones said that the week early release date thew them off. Which tells me that they don't have much pull or say when it comes to development time. That's got to be tough for a developer. Some people harp on the developers for the things that don't get fixed but they need to remember that the developers only have so much time to hit everything. I'm sure there are plenty of sacrifices in terms of areas they want to improve each year.I see a lot of people saying 2K (VC) only has so many months to work on the game, etc.

As great as extra development time would be it will never happen for a game like 2k unless sales really go down or there is an issue during development. I love 2k but my hope is that at some point the nba Live team fully utilizes the extra development time and delivers a ground breaking experience we've never seen before.Comment
