if thats the case hopefully they only change park. being honest (sorry guys) most of the whining comes from that player base because its mostly younger guys (just saying, please put the pitch forks down).Look at all the top comments on Chris Smoove's video on the new shot meter.
We are so screwed.
Because the cheesers are so loud, the first patch will appease them, like always. Bye bye sim.
i hope they keep all other modes (including pro am) as sim as i hope day 1 will beComment

I am starting to wish they make mypark, mycareer, and proam their own game. I think the actual 5 v 5 gameplay with real teams would be alot further along if those modes were their own game.if thats the case hopefully they only change park. being honest (sorry guys) most of the whining comes from that player base because its mostly younger guys (just saying, please put the pitch forks down).

Neither have I, but you do have point forward in your title. Ha.
Requiring timing for every shot seems like a good idea. Ther should be no free points.Psn: Alabamarob

I kind of like the shot stick change, as long as the stick has a reasonable interpretation of "straight up" it gives the game another level of skill to master. If you have to raise it perfectly at 90 degrees its kind of dumb, but I bet 2K will give some wiggle room on that.Comment

God dammit....welp if smoove can't be bothered to learn stuff then what's the point for 2k to even try something new. IMMA CRY NOW SO THEY WILL PATCH IT FIRST DAY!Look at all the top comments on Chris Smoove's video on the new shot meter.

Thanks for posting this. I see where they are going with it now with the shot stick. They are trying to separate guys by placing actual stick skill into every shot you take.Look at all the top comments on Chris Smoove's video on the new shot meter.

This sounds like they may have a different skill level control that is select-able online. So they can force this by either lobbies or a PNO filtering option. So the person using what I call skill stick control scheme should be rewarded with more bonuses for winning playing against someone who isn't.
So if they are trying to go e-Sports then they need some advanced control schemes to separate guys with stick skills.
Something as simple like timing a layup might even separate guys lol this is going to be hilarious. At first I was thinking I wouldn't use this but I think I will now as long as I don't think the CPU is getting some crazy advantage. This is equivalent to hardcore or elite modes in shooters in a sports game, driving games without driving assist or slip assistComment

Its crazy to me that the idea that you have to learn something in a game is so frightening to some..
Thats a huge part of the fun/challenge for me.Comment

Everything in the hands on impressions leaves this to be a second year in a row that I will skip on this product. Hearing that players rush on help defense even more than they did in the past (which was already unrealistic) doesn't impress me. Timing layups? You are kidding right? 1. Layups are tough enough to make as it is. 2. They are layups, they are called that for a reason. Aiming with the stick? Unbelievable, these aren't gameplay improvements, these are improvements for competitive gamers. Two things I could not possibly care any less about is online gameplay or E-sports. These things have ruined the immersive AI, fun and playability for single player use. I'm hating everything online that these games bring. Maybe I'm just old school, but I remember a time when games were fun. Now they are just made for online BS.Comment
