I've been doing my CFM and came across an issue in the preseason. It tells me to cut x amount of players per week and I'll go in, cut that many players then X out of the menu. However, upon reviewing my roster all of the players listed under the "recommended cuts" are cut as well even if I didn't manually cut them. Is there a way to keep this from happening? I have all CPU assist features turned off.

Re: Auto-Cuts in CFM?
Since you said you hit "X", I am assuming you're on PS4 right? I am on XB1 and did not see this in the first year of my franchise. Could be a very concerning issue. I would have said you must have some CPU assist turned on, but not if you checked it and restarted that many times. Hope you get it fixed man!Comment

Re: Auto-Cuts in CFM?
When you start a CFM do you go into the settings and turn off CPU Roster Moves? It is set to "On" by default. If you don't turn it off the CPU will make roster moves for you. That's the only reason I can think of this happening. I have done multiple CFM's and never had this issue.Hey Everyone,

Only thing I can think of as well. I haven't seen the issue myself. When you start a CFM do you go into the settings and turn off CPU Roster Moves? It is set to "On" by default. I had this issue in 16... I would do the cuts then play game.. then next week repeat only to notice that terrelle Pryor wasent on my roster so I'd go into the fa pool... Resign him only for cmp just cut him again.
Finally last week of preseason he got cut get AGAIN!! only this time he got removed from game completely... So I gave up trying play a cfm..its dumb that u have option for cmp to cut players set to off only for it to get over written and can't even start your cfm with players who gonna start for your team.
Same thing happen with some defensive starters on my defense.Comment

Re: Auto-Cuts in CFM?
This happened to me too. I cut players, and the game cut another player for me that I didn't want cut.
Everything is set to manual too.
I think I may have noticed the problem.
On the main screen, it says I have to cut 2 players. But, when I go into the "cut players" screen, It shows I have to actually cut 3 players. Maybe that is why players are getting cut, because the main screen is telling us the wrong number.....
edit 2
Nevermind. The game STILL cut the players on the "Recommended" list.....Last edited by ktd1976; 08-23-2016, 06:43 PM.Comment

Re: Auto-Cuts in CFM?
Same problem on PS4. I lost 3 receivers and a tight end. One player (DE) on IR that was a previous injury. He was on IR when the roster was downloaded. I'm using the Bucs. Only got through week one of preseason and noticed it. Everything is set to manual and it happened to both edited and non edited players (I edited one WR to make him a speed WR)Comment

Re: Auto-Cuts in CFM?
I've had the game through EA Access since last Thursday on Xbox One. I have noticed this issue as well.
Playing as the Panthers in CFM I have noticed this issue as well. For example, the Panthers have long had Jansen, whose sole role on the team is long snapper, and rated either 42 or 44 overall. He is considered a specialist by the team, but in Madden he's just a 44 rated TE. I have everything set to manual and the CPU still cut him off my roster. Additionally, the Panthers took 3 CBs in the draft this spring in the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th rounds. The 5th rounder, Sanchez, is rated a bit lower than the other 2 and would always show up as a recommended cut as he is on the Madden rosters, 6th of 6 CBs. Ideally though I was planning on placing him on practice squad for the season, but in 2 separate CFMs, the CPU has cut him both times. This is as mentioned, with all CPU roster assists set to OFF/Manual.
It's not a huge deal because some of the players that get cut are not going to pan out and deserve to be cut, but at the same time, I like trying to keep the roster close to real life and its pretty dumb to make this a task on "Things to Do" during preseason if the CPU is going to go ahead and cut certain players regardless.Comment
