Boca vs River on xbox one, I will be getting this for PS4. Had 16 on PS4 and this game blows it away. So much more fluid, the ball is looser, less auto steering on everything. Keepers make nice saves and a personal fave is how long they stay on the ground when they get scored on. Laying there just thinking about all the things that could have been.

What a step up from 2016. There is such an organic feel to the game that FIFA can't match. Player models are improved. Foot planting looks spot on, so players don't seem to be floating around the pitch. CPU are actually playing crosses into the box. Haven't had this much fun playing a game in a while. Let's see how adaptive AI plays out!

As far as adaptive goes my first thought on it kicking in was when I played france with germany.

Not so much adaptive as they kept going with what was working which was exploiting me down the right wing. Until finally I gave up a goal.

The main thing pes has going on right now for me is I can't wait to play another match. Soon as I get the full game and an option file this is going to rock.

Its weird passing still feels a little too easy on support one but the pass completion % are spot on from the 8 games that I played. I have yet to see any team with 90% above let alone above 85%.

Also, while the shot variety is better I still would like to see some shots go over the goal from the cpu, but I feel like it is still a small sample size. I anxious to get the retail copy and mess with some of the tactics as many of them seem locked in the demo. Also would like to play this for long than a 10 minute match haha.

Great stuff, Matt. That hot and cold, binary attacking / defending stuck out immediately. Love the physics, especially the ball, but what's up with the skiing animation when players are face up dribbling? It looks silly because virtually every player on the pitch does it. It almost looks like a dribbling drill with cones.

Can we not edit the gameplan this demo?
Was able to in 16 i thought.

Yes, the A.I. had 6 fouls in my 1st game and I kicked a penalty in my second game.

NEVER played PES before. Gave the demo a go tonight, and the game looks beautiful--that's for sure.

Kept messing up controls given that I am used to FIFA.

My question is, is the 'career mode' in this game worth anything? Also you have to edit nearly everything to get realism? Can you 'edit' (for lack of better word?) stadiums to get real stadiums?

In case you're not aware, in the options you can choose control scheme 2, which is pretty much the same as FIFA.

                              What an upgrade from 16.

                              Fouls - Yes!

Goalkeepers can actually block, catch and deflect shots - what a concept!

CPU sends crosses into the box - Yes

The majority of CPU attacks aren't spamming the through ball like they did in 16. Good to see.

More variety in goals - I still can't believe every CPU is not a low controlled shot into the corner just out of the reach of the keeper.

The ball actually goes out of play to give us breaks in the action for subs - Nice to see.

Replays are much improved and we can skip that awful final replay screen the always had - finally!

Some CPU teams will come after you like crazy if you play around with the ball too much.

Looking forward to the final retail version.

Ok playing Barcelona is surreal Watching Suarez and Messi dribble thru you is incredible and then the expressions on close ups is just nails , you could take a side by side pic and you wouldnt know which was which.

Another cool thing i saw was i have all stadium options on random and a game started out light rain but in second half it came down stronger you could see it more and the pitch was getting wetter and players started to lose footing.

Anyone else seen this? it is really awesome.
