Fifa on PC or Xbone? (Fifa 16)

I do plan on buying Fifa 17 but I am not sure if I should get it on PC or Xbox One. To help me decide I want to play 16 on both. I have played on the Xbox and may get it for PC. Now the reason I am posting.

I was playing PES 2016 on Xbox One and the lack of licenses killed the game for me but I LOVE the build up gameplay. I decided to play the game on PC with Mods and OMG it changed my experience. So now I play Fifa 16 on Xbox One and PES 2016 on PC equally. My rig is pretty good so graphically the PC version of PES looks nicer than the console version or at least just as good but the mods with all licensed teams helps.

My question is to anyone that has a good rig that has played Fifa 16 on PC? Are there any advantages or disadvantages? How did the graphics compare to the console version?

    Thanks in advance

I have a pretty good rig. Fifa's graphics are slick on 16 with a decent card that can get your AA and Super sampling levels up. We have it running on both my rig, i7 3770, 32GB RAM, Titan Black, and my son's i7 860, 16GB RAM with a GTX 770. Both can run the game at max. I'm really looking forward to the Frostbite Engine this year. He has Star Wars Battefront on his, and it looks incredible. As to mods, it's the main reason I buy for PC. The Moddingway mod is what really makes Fifa on PC a great choice for me. I'm an offline player, pretty much. The boys and I will play each other head to head through Origin, but that's about as far as I go. I'm hoping that the mod doesn't go through a hiccup like NBA2k did with their engine change. The added teams, the banners and the renaming of tourneys to reflect the real competitions really helps with the immersion for me. I will say that, if you're an online gamer, this isn't the platform. Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, I did forget one thing. I haven't seen either console be able to run Pro Cam smoothly, my camera of choice. Both of my rigs can do that.

Thanks for the reply. I am an offline player and I love the immersion. I have an i7-4790K with a GTX 970 so I may give it a whirl. I appreciate the info. I may even buy Fifa 16 on PC for the next month.

I'd say 16 would be worth it. And try the Moddingway mod, if you do. Little stuff like actually seeing real banners in the stadiums, and Budweiser on the signboards for the FA Cup will make you love it. There are also some gameplay mods that tend to fix the gameplay that EA always seems to mess up post launch.....http://www.soccergaming.com/forums/s...d.php?t=192875

Thanks again. I just bought it and wow, it looks great. Now time to research mods. Will the gameplay mods work with the moddingway mods?

Yeah, but I think you have to put them on in a certain order. I'll have to check in the morning. I'd just start out with Moddingway and some slider tweaks. I don't think Fidel's mod is going to be much of an improvement at this late date. I'd check around 17's release for gameplay mods.

Good call. I just got up to date on 7.0.2 so I will just roll with that and some sliders for 16. My 42 year old brain thanks you.

definitely much better on PC thanks to the mods. Moddingway is always a good one or if you want a CONCACAF based mod, check mine out too! MXTRA patch.
