    OL XP

Hey guys, in CFM, are any of you seeing offensive lineman getting experience from training sessions? It seems like it is always the skill position players that get experience for me, and I am wondering how to get more experience for my OL. I've been picking some of them as my focus players, but that's barely getting them anything compared to the other players.

Ramp up the slider.. Tests have shown that you'll need to go closer to 300%

Thanks very much for your reply.

Sorry to be daft, but which slider? I didn't even realize there are experience sliders now?

Do you know if there is a particular thread where this is being discussed?

There's a "slider settings" you can set from 0-300

Are you picking the correct drills in Training? For example, the Hat Count, Inside Zone, and Outside Zone drills will reward your RBs and OLs with XP upon completion. Each drill has two position groups assigned to it.

How much XP a player is rewarded is also dependent on coach and player traits; if your RBs have quick and superstar development and your OLs don't, your RBs are going to earn more XP from training.

              Re: OL XP

The other weird thing is how much XP it takes to improve the OL now. For example, rookie Laramy Tunsil of the Dolphins takes about 2500xp to go up one notch in run blocking, starting in the low 80s. Thats much higher than the last few years, as I remember.
Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.

The xp slider for Centers needs to be set to 300. The guard slider at around 290. And the Tackle slider at 260. Check out tdawgs thread in the Sliders forum for the rest of the xp settings

Thanks all. Somehow, I hadn't even realized that you could pick different trainings then what the AI recommended.

Yeah.... just pick the other trainings, don't bump the XP slider to 300...it's kinda cheesy to do it that way.

No, its not. Some positions just aren't tuned correctly when it comes to xp, to the point where years down the road you won't have any 90+ players, nevermind high-90's superstars.

This is the point of all different types of sliders, its not "cheesy" in any way unless you're purposely abusing the system. That's not the case here.

Yeah, if you look at the thread the people above mentioned, they did a ton of research into what would make the most balanced sliders.

That goes for the entire league right? Also does having it up so high make a lot of players have high overalls?

Look at tdawg's slider thread. He did EXTENSIVE research around this and found that those numbers will result in the healthiest league long-term.
