Anyone else experience a nasty injury bug?

Just finished the preseason with my Dolphins and it seemed to play quite smoothly. I get into the my first regular season game, one against the Seahawks where I need every key player as possible and within the first quarter I lost Reshad Jones, Ndamukong Suh, and Devante Parker. In the second quarter I lost Ryan Tannehill and Andre Branch.

Every injury knocked the player out of the entire game. Here's a list from the Seahawk game after it was over, and we somehow won:
Devante Parker- 4 weeks
Reshad Jones- 7 weeks
Ryan Tannehill- 3 weeks
Ndamukong Suh- Out for game
Andre Branch- 2 weeks
Arian Foster- 7 weeks

I dropped the injury slider on all madden significantly and then went into the the Patriot game thinking it was over until:
Jordan Cameron- 6 weeks
Jelani Jenkins- 4 weeks

Nearly every relevant player on the Dolphins is out for a nice chunk of time. This isn't the first, but certainly the worst injury bug I have ever experienced in any sports game, and the worst I've ever heard about.

Just finished my first regular season with the Fins. Default sliders, All Pro. These guys missed time:

Tannehill - 4 games
Moore - season ending
Landry - 4 games
Stills - 7 games (two injuries)
Foster - 6 games
Ajayi - 4 games
Howard - 4 games
Jenkins - season ending

Oddly, I never once suffered an injury that I guy came back into the game from. Not one bum or bruise type. If a guy got hurt, he was HURT!

Injury slider probably defaults to 10 in play now this year for a reason....

I know it starts at 50 in CFM but maybe they just didn't change that default?

I love the amount of injuries this year. My problem is that quarterback injuries happen far too often. Currently in week 8 of my CFM and I just counted 13 starters and 18 quarterbacks total are injured.

Looking at last years real life stats, 16 quarterbacks started every game last season. If the trend continues in my Madden CFM, it's looking like it will be far less than that.

i just posted about this in the impressions thread..

i simmed a season preseason and season separately about 7 times and nearly half of my starting squad on the 49ers was injured. Now, i dont have a problem with realistic injuries and i know they happen to everybody on and off the field..... but i felt like it was a bit extensive for 8-10 of my starters to be injured within a few weeks of preseason or reg season.....

i did raise injury slider to 50 in the main menu, and have it at 55 in cfm along with 60 fatigue, which may be my reason in seeing this, havent really tested otherwise....

i will add tho, im glad theres more injuries because it leads to more realistic seasons and progression deeper into your team and team planning...

i keep trading for karlos williams as my back up to carlos hyde, and geno smith to start qb and EVERY sim they both end up injured along with kaepernick for a minimum of 8weeks or more

So this year the frequency is spot on but the severity is a little much, is that the premise of what seems to be going on?

as far as i can tell on my franchise severity seems to be the issue but mine arent prime examples because of my adjusted settings, although, i beleive i did turn injuries down to 40 and fatigue back to 60 for a few of my sims..

With that said, i still dont necessarily mind, i just cant sim straight, i have to take it week by week and adjust things make trades.. as a "REAL COACH" would, so i feel this keeps it sim in my books. just not what we are used to in the madden world

I was actually thinking this during a game today as well. Every injury I've seen the player left the game and didn't return.

The other injury thing I discovered is even if you turn injuries off they still happen in a play the moments game. I lost Ezekiel Elliot for 7 weeks in the preseason even though injuries were off.

To me, yes. The frequency seems fine, even a little low. Its normal to see several players leave the game and return later in a real NFL game. My issue is that everyone who's hurt is gone for the entire game (minimum), and is often hurt for 4 weeks or more, regardless of their toughness rating. I don't want to turn down injuries and not see any, but at the same time, losing players every game for a month at a time wore on me. I played the last few games of my season with only 3 active WRs, and when guys wore down, I saw RBs and even LBs in multiple WR sets.

Has anyone else noticed that there is OFTEN at least 3 quarterbacks that play in each simmed game in CFM and in a lot of cases there is 4 because of all the QB injuries?

I just looked at all the player stats for my CFM's week 12 games and only ONE game had only 2 quarterbacks that saw action. Most had 4 (2 from each team)..

I think I'm going to put this game down and hope that this is tweaked in a patch. Love the amount of injuries, but they should not be this frequent to quarterbacks.

I noticed this a lot in my play the moment franchise. With the broncos it was common for me to play the second half with Sanchez because lynch was hurt for the game. Usually he would come back the next week.

In my first season I lost lynch for 4 weeks which is fine than in the wildcard game which was lynch last week hurt so I couldn't use him I lost Sanchez firing the game and rolled with Trevor. Had all 3 qbs the next week.

I think the qb position needs adjusted because they are hurt a bunch. Qbs get hurt which I understand but the number of times they are knocked out for a game is way off target. In 2 years of games it has probably happened a dozen times. That is way to high for one team to keep losing their qb for the game

This has FOREVER been an issue with simming games; always goes unattended.

I'm playing at default injury slider for my CFM. I figured that was the reason.
I'm okay with players getting injured, but most of them are like 5+ week injuries.

I will just adjust my injury slider until I find a sweet spot. Look at the Texans the past 2-3 seasons. They couldnt keep a Qb healthy so its not that far off base.
All the injuries make ou have a decent practice squad now lol.. If I lose players to injury ill be joyed compared to going a season with 1-2 injuries..
