You can uninstall the tuner and go back to it being normal. Fumbles are worse for my games on cpu vs cpu mode.Last edited by extremeskins04; 08-29-2016, 09:32 PM.Comment

Since this was the only tuner, I deleted it and am happy how the game is playing. I was happy how it played on default all-pro slow speed..Comment

Madden NFL 17 Tuning Update Available Now - Reduces Strip Fumbles
Does anyone else feel like this is déjà vu? It seems like every year EA has a habit of keeping the game simulation just long enough for the reviewers to tout that the game is more simulation and will appeal to Simheads. Then, usually about a month after release, they will start making changes to cater to the whining of the online crowd. So typically this results in the gameplay feeling completely different at the end of Madden season. Last year's game play felt great at release, but felt horribly arcadish by the Super Bowl. It almost seems like a bait and switch. Does anyone else feel this way?
Luckily though, a tuner can be deleted without any significant impact to the game, if you don't play head to head. It's the patches that scare me. Because they can't be reversed.

Re: Madden NFL 17 Tuning Update Available Now - Reduces Strip Fumbles
I couldn't download the tuner yesterday anyway..... but my question is to everybody who has the game playing great. Is it in CFM? Because on Play Now, I can not get the cpu qb to throw down field at all. When they do actually throw. 3rd and 12 he throws it in the flat for like a 1 yd gain. Hoping it's better in franchise mode? All pro btw. Default or slider adjustments

Could be total coincidence, but played the Bills in my CFM after installing the tuner and Tyrod had 2 nice scrambles when he sensed pressure. First time i had seen anything like it.49ers Faithful since 1985Comment

It's so weird because I haven't seen any of these issues. I haven't played much CFM, as I've spent much of my time in Skills trainer and play now games. I play on All-Madden with custom sliders. I guess this could be an All-Pro issue as well. I haven't played with this tuner yet, so I can't speak to any changes it supposedly made

Might this fix the missing customized plays in my franchise playbook?
A tuning update was pushed today for Madden NFL 17. Per Rex Dickson, you should see less strip fumbles. Let us know what you're seeing.Comment

Exactly. This is why they need to unconnect franchise mode and/or have separate updates for online and offline, because I don't want the offline game messed up by online only/mut only whiners

Re: Madden NFL 17 Tuning Update Available Now - Reduces Strip Fumbles
As a follow up, that game must have been a fluke. I've played 2 games since then and both Carson Palmer and Tyrod Taylor hovered around 55% completion and when checking the stats on the season Romo is apparently having an insane season as his seasonal completion percentage is 70%+ after week 6.Whats crazy is I was having zero issues the first 3 weeks of my season with CPU QB Accuracy, it was fairly realistic and no issues with the ever mentioned "robo" QB but downloaded this tuner and suddenly Romo is 20/21 at halftime with his only incompletion being a throw away out of bounds due to pressure. I know one game can be a total fluke but good Lord this is ridiculous, I hope this tuner didnt have some negative side effect as I didnt have an issue with strip sack fumbles before in the first place.
I haven't had that issue, if the CPU has someone outside that can stretch the defense and I dont respect that they will go deep. For instance in my last game at Buffalo, in CFM, I was controlling FS Eric Reid and bit down on an in route and Watkins was running a post that went right behind me, Taylor hit him in stride and he took it to the house for the TD. I'm on All-Pro difficulty with the only slider adjustments being Human QB Accuracy at 45, CPU QB Accuracy at 49 and Speed Threshold at 40. Obviously I've adjusted the penalty sliders to what Armor & Sword has in his thread otherwise the rest of the sliders are default and I play on normal speed.I couldn't download the tuner yesterday anyway..... but my question is to everybody who has the game playing great. My only complaint is my own accuracy, Kaepernick probably shouldn't be completing passes at a 65% clip but then again I rarely stretch the field since I got nobody on the entire roster that can so that will inflate completion percentages for myself. But as far as the CPU is concerned they seem to play relatively well on offense and will stretch the field when the situation calls for it.Comment

Yes, I would agree with that. The release seems to be how EA feels it should play, then they cater with the tuners. Not sure if i'd call it "bait and switch" but it does seem they steer away a bit. I end up deleting the tuners. Personally, I'll gladly give up Draft Champions and online play to keep some SIM.Does anyone else feel like this is déjà vu? And yes, unfortunately, the patches scare me too. It's too bad you have to worry about what a couple fixes will do "under the hood" to other aspects.Comment
