Honestly, I hope my fears are wrong, but I've got this unnerving feeling that shot stick shooting (and the bonus that comes with it) is going to be almost Patch 4 2K15-like, especially when compared to shooting with the button.
But there is going to be more skill involved in getting it right so shouldn't you be rewarded more for that?

Button shooting may still be the way to go for open jumpers or whatever but I'm looking forward to learning a new in game skill and seeing the way that works and impact it has. Ive always been a button shooter but will definitely be learning the sticks for 17.

Heh, you'll say that until people begin to splash ridiculous shots, contested or not. Won't see it early on, but would probably begin to happen once people get used to the new mechanic. And that's where it gets worrisome.

NBA players can and do splash ridiculous shots when on.. I'm all for gameplay improvements, but it gets really old whenever someone loses their **** over one or two tough shot makes (basically always against them too).

If someone's mastering their timing more power to them, just have to guard the shots tighter and hope he's not excellent going inside too.

Now what NBA players CAN'T do is sprint 100 mph past your defense/lead pass go baseline and get wide open dunks all game with your defense incapable of getting back in time

I'm sorry but I'm not getting excited until I play it. This game has so many fanboys that they literally say how much the game's improved, and you play it and there's not much difference year to year.

Anything with the In-game substitutions? Last year's version was very annoying, hopefully it was change to the "traditional" was it used to be.

I have heard that Madden 17 does a really good job of this so hoping 2k can match that
Man, that was real bad in 2K16 and I'm hoping the same as you. Three years into my MyLeague, the Nuggets had 5 point guards, 1 power forward. Illogical trades and draft picks smh

A couple of rule changes i would love for them to revert back to is handchecking and oblish defensive three seconds.

If one or two fall, I don't mind it. It becomes a problem, however, if the frequency reverts back to post-patch 4 of 2k15. If you played Rec during that time, I want you to tell me that shots fall that frequently IRL, especially with 1-2 people in their grill. And that's the fear I have if the stick gets the bonus that i think it may receive once 'mastered.'

I really hope we're able to contract our MyLeague down to, say, 25 teams if I want to do a Euroleague. Also give us the option to select the balls and refs. Not a big thing but it sucks running a Euro ML and having the NBA refs and balls. At least leave them in during the home Euro teams games like it is in play now.

To add to that, an interesting, although I'm not sure if it's possible, idea would be to have an option to choose between NBA rules and FIBA rules.
