Bigs can cover to much ground on defense(they are too fast)
Late contest on laups matter too much.
Random blocks doing pumpfakes.
Leaning shots for guys who have catch and shoot badge should be removed. -

I know they put limitations on stats to make them realistic but I had to ask....What does height have to do with shooting ability? Why do you shoot worse,when you get taller? I'm not sure that really equates to real life....
Just one thing that bothers me for some reason. lol

When I first heard about these new player restrictions which are purely to make rttf more balanced, I was peeved and still am to some degree. I don't want career linked with those other modes so I thought 2k had left a tiny gap in the market for any other games that might be struggling. However, if they pull this off, then I'll be blown away.
The only concern I have is days off. I skipped all endorsements and connections this year so I could get upgrades. I don't want to be friends with other players if it's keeping my attributes low.
Mom, dad, bro, sis, sweetheart, and kids; the government have sent me away on a secret mission to save the world, so I'm going to be unavailable for about a year.Comment

Really sounds like they put in some work this year on Career. Wanted to hear that making the USA squad was possible, but I guess this will be another year of that missing out.
Still looking forward to this though and the wait for next week is gonna suck lol

Man this is really sounding GREAT! Several questions though:
1) Most importantly, how is the playcalling system in MyCareer games? The playcalling really took a step back in 2k16. Will it be more like 2k15 where they called specific plays, more variety of plays, calling plays for the hot man, etc.?? Please say yes
2) The wear and tear/fatigue system that Mike mentioned in gameplay, does that apply to MyCareer as well? If so, do certain attributes like weight and strength or certain badges influence that? Can you get hurt in game? Does your coach not play you for the full game now?
3) I see you said we can get to a 99. Does that mean we can potentially exceed some of the caps in the archetype we pick? If so this is huge because I feel the archetypes looked to restrictive but I feel you should be able to exceed them if you really put in the work. It shouldn't be easy of course. And your development should depend on all things you do in practice and in game like how consistent are your shot releases, drills, etc. It sounds like yall are incorporating that with the Doin Work feature.
Overall, I am very excited to see where MyCareer is going and I can't wait to get started.Comment

True but you still need vc to apply your upgrade. So you still could buy vc to get an 88 ovr then go to practice with the left over vc from buying vc or buy more vc. I never did that for 16 i got all my vc from career, mypark, pro am, PNO, mygm/league

Oh yea one big question I forgot. Will it be easier to sim through seasons without missing off days? Last year if we simmed the game before an off day we couldn't participate in the off day immediately following the game that we simmed. So it was either play the game or miss a practice. I thought this was unnecessarily penalizing people that want to get through their career fast. I want to actually finish a full 15-20 year career this year but things like that made it difficult. Please tell me that's changed.Comment

I did, but that didn't tell us that you could make the national team or not. For all we know that call just takes you through a form of 2KU and with word out that Australia is the only other national team in the game, it's not sounding too good for making team USA

This all sounds great, but the biggest concern for me is teammate AI. Part of the fun of joining a team is getting to play with your favorite players. There's a lot of potential lost for this mode when the AI players no longer play like their real life counterparts. There are a few moments in games where the AI plays really well, the ball is moving and for a second it's like you're playing with other people, and you're a part of something rather than having the whole team rotate around you.
I'd love to see that be the norm of the mode and if and when we get to the point where we're dominant, it's part of a journey where we go from a complementary player to the kind of guy that plays WITH complementary players.Comment
