Honestly I'm not overly impressed. Legit actors is a nice touch but I guess I'm looking for something more groundbreaking like a connected career mode online. That would be some next level stuff. If they keep it fresh I'll enjoy it but usually it gets repetitive and the last thing I want is to grind a monotonous mode. Seems like it's deeper than usual though with more dynamic decisions so it's a bit intriguing.

They've said this year they aren't going to use the current system of nerfing your squad and boosting the cpu's attributes so if this works out, expect your team mates to play more like themselves this year. Might be worth giving it a go.Comment

They should create a generator where you insert
Position: Small Forward
Height: 6'8
Weight: 225
Archetype: Point Forward
Wingspan: 82.7"
Then it gives you the maximum for each attribute, that way before selecting everything you know what
you're limited to.

Not sure how I feel about this. I have never been a fan of their story centric MyCareer modes and "Livin Da Dream" was in my opinion a crappy mode. This sounds a little better but why are they still trying to force a storymode onto us year after year. They have made some nice additions I mean the idea of being able to control another player this year sounds pretty cool and that they have added this chemistry system that depending on how you chose focus on it gets better or worse does sound good.Comment

Sounds amazing - these will be some long days. I do wonder if justice will follow you in free agency. And I do wonder if we can part with him and what would happen with the switching players if we did. I do like the concept of him being a 2nd round pick trying to prove himself. And I could actually see some drama with jealousy from Denver or justice depending on success - seems predictable. Honestly anything will probably be better than last year. I do wonder and hope they added some things I wished for in a thread. It probably won't matter if it delivers though.

Not sure why so many guys keep saying they're "forcing a story on us." It's their most popular mode so it's not forcing anything at that point. Besides that a LOT of people asked for cutscenes and stuff like that because it's simply boring to a lot of people to simply play game after game with nothing happening. I welcome the attempts to freshen things up no matter how hit or miss it is.

Can't wait to start my journey a week from today with the Prelude. 2k did not disappoint with this one, last year's MyCareer experience just seemed like it was so forced, pushing my character in one direction and giving him a personality that wasn't necessarily my own. With this I feel as if we will have a lot more control over how our player is perceived and that it will actually affect things, such as endorsements and relationships with people such as your coach, teammates. etc.
I've gotta say that I am indeed hype for this, I'm a 2k guy through and through and it's gunna be hard to balance MyCareer, as I'd like to actually get through a career since I rarely do (longest streak: 4 seasons on DET in 2k14) along with MyTeam and now that they've announced MyLeague Online will actually include an off season, Sept. 16th can't come soon enough.
*Insert Jimmy Butler smirk GIF here since I can't figure out how to post that ish!*

The biggest frustration for me last year with the story mode apart from me being a Caucasian and having a well non Caucasian family was that I couldn't sim any playoff games until I went and played them secondly also if I simmed regular season games I used to miss my off days . Has there been any talk about the sim and loosing off days . Thanks folksComment
