A franchise ready to challenge from the off is not my usual choice in any sports game and there were a few other options I considered with 49ers and Browns right near the top. A relocation one was a option I considered late but the Packers do have some interesting decisions and challenges for the short term and long term and are a franchise I admire. Waiting for later rosters but will try to get a reading piece or two done in the meantime.
Short Term
- Winning the NFC North title ahead of last years winnings and improving Vikings.
- Improved runs in the Playoffs
- Make decisions on players in the final year of their contracts(Eddie Lacy, T.J. Lang, Josh Sitton, David Bakhtiari, Nick Perry, Julius Peppers, Jared Cook and many more)
Long Term
- Long time Packers Aaron Rodgers, Jordy Nelson, Josh Sitton, Clay Matthews III and others won't play forever. Are their replacements in the roster all ready or will future drafts be vital to maintaining a winning team?
The content will largely be about Packers performance and it's players rather than coaches and owners. There will be brief pieces about the NFL as a whole like injuries and trades but I would like to go more in-depth about the draft as a whole and all the NFL Teams in future seasons such as draft breakdowns.
All comments and advice welcomed. I'm not great graphically but will do my best and I hope you will enjoy it.
