One thing i'm loving this year is ratings must be working right because I can tell a huge difference in my defense when I use a team like the Rams versus a team Like Dallas. That Rams defense is nasty if used right. I'm not sure if they are an underrated team in Madden. Maybe others know about them too but, I'm 4-0 with them in ranked games. I'm 1-4 with others teams. The Rams pass rush and overall front 7 are really good.
