QB fumbles?
On back to back drives earlier with the Saints, I drop back with Bree's and start my throwing motion... I than proceed to get hit and when the ball is literally .01 seconds away from being release I'm hit and it is ruled as a fumble. Now I know the rule for forward arm motion but the fumbles seriously go 10 yards forward. It should definitely be an incomplete pass and I can't challenge it to overturn it. Re: QB fumbles?
On 3 straight possessions, Mark Sanchez fumbled for me as the Broncos.
1st was my fault as I scrambled and tried to slide, but ended up losing the fumble.
2nd (after we got the ball back from them scoring) was as you say, in the throwing motion, ball pops up... we recover!
3rd, the 2nd down, exactly the same... throwing motion, ball pop up and again we recover!
He would do it again later in the game, but we lost possession that time. Seems dramatic, but I put it down to me just being too slow. -
Re: QB fumbles?
Is it only when you get hit as you're about to throw the ball? Rex has mentioned that you need to re-teach yourself how to take the sack this year.
I've had 2-3 QB fumbles per game (on a bad day) this year, but surprisingly not many have been lost.Last edited by ksteward84; 09-06-2016, 06:07 PM.Madden 22

Re: QB fumbles?
So, so much. I had Teddy Bridgewater fumble 4 times on 5 possessions in a playoff game where I had a 21 point lead, and none of those possessions were longer than four plays. I don't think the game has comeback code but man did it feel like it that night.
Edit: All were on hits in the pocket and all were lost. Two were on back to back offensive plays.Teams: Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati Reds, Marshall Thundering Herd, Virginia Tech Hokies (2010 alum)Comment

Re: QB fumbles?
This is really nerfed. For both human and cpu QBs. The sacks that look like a fumble are sometimes called incompletes, and what looks like a forward pass will, be called a fumble.
And it happens way too often in a game...even by the cpu QB so it is not just a case of learning how to take a sack.

If you're under pressure, take the sack. Stop trying to throw at the last second.Comment

Re: QB fumbles?
this has happened to me, and i really think it's just me playing dumb. every time it's happened, i've been in the action of throwing. like the guy above me said, i'm pretty sure the issue is we just need to learn how to take sacks like real quarter backs do.Comment

Re: QB fumbles?
This is becoming one of my more frustrating things with the game. This definitely isn't the best example but you can see here the ball is well out being fumbled before my QB is even being touched.
I had another one with the CPU that I wish I'd saved where Russell Wilson was all the way at the end of his throwing motion when he got it and the ball just magically fell out of his hand downwards. I get what they're trying to accomplish but I wish it was more realistic. I mentioned it in the impressions thread but either make it a sack or a regular pass with affected power and accuracy.Last edited by DeuceDouglas; 09-07-2016, 03:03 AM.Comment

Re: QB fumbles?
It's not just human error. It happens all the time to the cpu QB as well. I have seen it in Coach mode and cpu vs cpu way too often a game. The resulting fumble often is scooped up and run back for a TD as well.Comment

Re: QB fumbles?
Well the CPU QB AI definitely isn't up to par, I don't think they can even use the new 'give up' mechanic in the pocket like a user.Comment
