Any news on filter confirmation?

Apologies if this has been answered, but have we received confirmation on the potential return of "era-specific" filters yet?


It would seem highly trivial to have included them into the 2K Kicks video package otherwise, right??

I would like to know this as well. Although it wouldnt be the 1st time NBA2k tried to fool us, so Im not holding my breath that we got this back, since they havent actually mentioned it. I sure hope it is, its the only thing that was really good about NBA2k12.

I couldn't agree more. Seems like something would be confirmed if it were included. Just imagine what this feature could do for a customized '80s NBA myleague? I've said before, the 2K series already included it once AND it's an included options for all arenas in 2K's WWE series.

I'm really hoping for this as well. The classic teams/ authentic arenas have not been as great as they were in 2K12. This is a must for NBA2K17.

- No manual jersey retirements or unretirements, but we can keep that in mind for the future.
- No idea if the classic team filters have returned, but I don't believe so.
- No amnesties or stretch provisions.
- I can talk to the engineer responsible regarding the simulator using up timeouts too early.

Not the case in this one. It was a trailer about shoes and they edited the footage, people speculated and got their hopes up but 2K didn't try to fool anyone.

They should have known if they put those filters in the trailer would assume/speculate that they were back in the game.

That's true but it just seems shady.

Not the case in this one. It was a trailer about shoes and they edited the footage, people speculated and got their hopes up but 2K didn't try to fool anyone.

Thats what I mean, showing something knowing it would hype some up, but not actually telling if its in or not. Its little things like that, that they do in marketing, in all actuality its quite smart on their part, even if it is kind of shady, but its not like they are 1st to do these type of things.

Looks like Leftos has have us the answer on the old style era look, and its not in. Well that sucks, not a deal breaker by any means, but I do wish this was back in. Glad Leftos was honest with the person who asked him about it. Been times in the past, not him of course, but if something like that was asked, you wouldnt always get a answer from 2k, which I learned if they dont answer it then that means its not in or fixed,lol.

It may not be in, but I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to patch in.

But 2K aren't dumb so they'll probably just put it in 2K18 and reveal it as an amazing new feature.

2k really is something else when compared to other video game companies that show love to their supporters. i can bet that superstar legend cyberfaces like olajuwon, shaq, and others who were not on the dream team weren't touched. it's bascially "give me your $ and screw you".
