I read it the same way. I thought we could download edited courts and jerseys. They even used the Sonics as an example. If not, that's a serious disappointment.

Team Rebranding Sharing

This is a feature I mentioned in the League Expansion blog, but I want to include here in case you missed it…because I like it that much. Last year, we introduced the concept of rebranding your team by creating a new team logo, uniforms, court floor, stadium, etc. It was a lot of work for you, but with our robust tools, it was worth the effort. In NBA 2K17, you now have the ability to share your creations with the world. This means, you can simply browse complete team packages built by other users and download them right into your save files with a single button press. Don’t worry about trying to make the perfect Seattle Supersonics rebrand; it’s likely someone has already done the work. Search for ‘Sonics’, find the one you want, and add them to your league. Simple as that!

nope, I was working on a college roster thinking it would be easy to setup but na it would be a struggle of a process for people to follow and do.

Note:

• You need to manually create the jerseys/logos/court every time for Pro-am, MyTEAM and for Rebrands in MyLEAGUE just like last year.
• You can't download a team design unless its for myleagues expansion option. 6 teams with a expansion draft (manual or automatic). Only shows players that are on a team. (no free agents)

I'm pretty disappointed that we still have to manually create everything outside of those 6 team expansions. Idk if im the only one but I thought we could download team designs for rebrands in myleague alongside the expansions but I guess I misread the blogs.

Dude, I read it the same way -- I thought team design downloads for rebrands or expansion teams, not just expansion teams. That's a major bummer, especially since we're limited to just two custom uniform slots again this year.

For verification, here's a screenshot. Team Relocation gives you the same choices.




Expansions gives you 6 slots and when you click that slot you get the screen that was advertised.

Man, that's lame. Was really looking forward to that feature allowing me to change my league on the fly ... it's probably naive to believe it's an oversight or needs to be patched, but I'll keep the (extremely unlikely) possibility in mind.

Menus are really clean looking, though, that's nice.

Do you notice any new types of creation choices within the uniform editor?

Hopefully they patch in the ability to download people's creations for rebrands. they mention rebrand all throughout that paragraph. Kind of false advertising.

I didn't expect any new options within the feature. Maybe next year but not this year.

I don't think they necessarily falsely advertised the copy and paste feature. I would agree that they didn't specify appropriately. Oh well.

I'd encourage you to hold off on "the game doesn't have xxxx" feature until the title is properly released.

When the servers are fully enabled, you will see a fifth option under Team Relocation called "Upload/Download Team Design".
