Can anyone tell me if they got the Qualifying procedure correct in this?

i never played the old devs game , like NASCAR 15, and so im not sure if they ever got knockout qualifying into these games

Or if its still same single car runs, and thats it

They have both options - new and old

Quick question....Are the tracks locked in career mode? Do I need to play single races until I can unlock them before I start a career?

It takes like 30 mins to unlock all the tracks. You don't have to go through 1 track at a time. I think once you have a speed rating above a certain # at like 6 tracks, all the tracks become unlocked. This is going by memory, so it could be a bit off - but it took me 30 mins or so to unlock every single track

It takes like 30 mins to unlock all the tracks. You don't have to go through 1 track at a time. I think once you have a speed rating above a certain # at like 6 tracks, all the tracks become unlocked. This is going by memory, so it could be a bit off - but it took me 30 mins or so to unlock every single track

That’s right, if you live a couple miles from Phoenix International Raceway and it’s a ritual of sorts for you to turn laps at Phoenix on each new NASCAR game, or you fancy some road course action at Watkins Glen, you won’t touch these facilities until at least four hours of playtime. You’re handed Experience Points for finishing well in each race regardless of whether you’re online or offline, but rather than using these points to unlock goodies such as alternate liveries or spotter packs, you literally aren’t allowed to drive more than half of the tracks on the NASCAR schedule unless you grind away for XP in Single Race.

Actually Ryan I think you are going to be a bit sorry for passing on this. I totally respect your decision, but I will say that of my friends who own the game(most are huge sim race guys) have nothing but good to great things to say about the actual racing and AI -

Maybe it took him 4 hours, although I am not sure how, but for me it was rather quick and I was racing at any track I wanted.

Thanks...that's good to know. I was hyped for this game and starting to get worried based on some of the reviews

When you first get the game, change the race settings to 2% and you will have all the tracks unlocked rather quickly -

Sounds like the AI is not fast enough as he said that he was lapping the field by lap 40.

Wow it is getting hammered on Steam. I've read enough to pass. I'm a hardcore sim guy and nothing I'm reading is pointing to that. Back to F1........I go!

I've read the reviews, but I miss NASCAR, and I passed on the last several games. I feel a need to support this developer, because I think by going on what I saw in videos last night, they have a great foundation for what may be a great racing game in the future. I'll give some impressions later. This will be the last title I purchase this year.

Going to be a pass for me. I saw a guy streaming it on ps4 and I asked him if driving in the pits were manual or computer controlled and he said computer controlled. Thats my biggest pet peeve. Why can't a company these days ever make a game fully simulation with options to have everything manually controlled. If they patched it in my brother and I would totally buy it. No wonder there's no demo

I've played NR for years, done iracing, and been nonstopping F1 for the last week or so, and Im am comfortable saying you'll be missing out if you pass on this.

I mean I have had some great racing with the ai for position that was better than anything in NR2k3.

Does it have flaw? Hell yes it does, the lack of any tv style presentation is embarrassing.

Some of the driver ratings are head scratchers( I dont know how Truex pissed off but he's basically a start and parker for me)

With all that said, to me it still provides a solid racing experience.

Haha they hate Martin Truex and love Danica Patrick and Regan Smith

Mo, it was crazy last night. There were guys who were on the game for 20 minutes playing at the lowest difficulty settings, posting reviews about how bad the game was. I'd like to see somebody post a review that has done a 400 lap race.I haven't seen that yet. I'm harsh critic. Let's see how it stands up.
