Official Your re-branding/created teams Thread 2k17 Edition

Thought I'd start this up right before release. Post your creations here. In the mean time, what are your plans for re-branding and creations in MyLeague.

I have two.

1. I'm doing a legends-current players league and expanding to 34. All 4 teams with be Mass Effect themed teams with the Reapers, Normandy, System Alliance, and Cerberus (yes I am a geek). I can't wait for this. Just uploaded all my imagery last night.

2. My two year old essentially loves two things: Basketball and Construction Equipment. So I'm making a team for him with a Backhoe and pictures of Tractors and stuff on the scorers table. I can't wait to show him it tomorrow.


What are you guys doing?

Dude, that's an amazingly bad*ss idea. In some alternate universe out there, there's an NBA that didn't come into existence until the mid/late 2000s and, in order to attract attention and market themselves, partnered with corporations like EA and named their teams after pop culture things. Basically video-game franchises with real-life pro-teams associated with them.

Adding 4 teams.

2 West, 2 East (Obviously).

West: Definitely adding the Sonics, because have to.

The other team...thinking about it, but I'm leaning towards Las Vegas or St. Louis.

East: Cleveland is getting a second team. Gotta have it. In the lineage of classic teams, classic Cleveland teams even, I'm calling it the Cleveland Grays--because we had a regiment that fought in the World War that defended the city, and the castle is right downtown, they will play at a reformed Wolstein Center and downtown will be rocking on game nights with Cavs and Grays games.

Second team? I'm thinking Pittsburgh. It would only be right. Probably going to call them the Condors from the ABA.

What do you think?

Dude, that's an amazingly bad*ss idea. Thanks man! That's always my thing when we can do things like this year. I'll upload some pics this weekend and get your thoughts. Last year I did the Resistance and The First Order which was a ton of fun. Use to do it all the time on NCAA Football.

If we had more upload slots I'd do the entire league with Mass Effect but oh well. I suppose I could look into contraction as an option... Unless we have to have 30 teams at all times and can only contract if we expand first.

B: I'd think they'll give us more slots for uploads this year -- we can rebrand the whole league according to them, I think they let us go wild
C: The devs stated that contraction is only applicable to expanded teams, so we have to have a minimum of 30 in the NBA. Only the expansion ones can be removed.

B: I'd think they'll give us more slots for uploads this year -- we can rebrand the whole league according to them, I think they let us go wild

Regarding upload slots, I did mine last night and it said only 50. Maybe they'll expand it later?

Only 50, huh? That's really low. I wonder if the team design saves are a different type of upload all together.

So you'd make your team scheme (court, branding, unis), save them, upload it as a separate save, then delete the individual logos in your 50 slot limit without affecting the team scheme save.

It could be that when the servers go totally live we get more room too.

Here's all I've got...I didn't feel like mocking it up too much until I saw what the 2K17 tools let me do again.

That's a good point. Any idea if you deleted logos last year if it would cause an error in game or make those logos not show up within that MyLeague save?

To my recollection, deleted logos didn't impact my Sonics rebrands. I think once they're on the uniforms/in the team scheme, the logos exist separately from the ones on the server.
