I downloaded the PC version of the FIFA 17 demo last night and the graphics look great maxed out on my 'puter. So it's good to know my 'puter will be up to the task of running the game if/when it finds it's way into my library one day soon. But last week in a PES thread, I mentioned I would not be buying PES 17 at full price, and at the same time I mentioned that unless the FIFA 17 demo knocked my socks off, I likely wouldn't be buying FIFA 17 at full price either. Yes the graphics do look better in the FIFA 17 demo over FIFA 16. But other than that, at least for how I like to play the game, I do not notice much difference between the two releases and since the game will cost me $80 CDN (yes that's not a type-o, $80 is now the going rate for the base games ... ugh), is the improved graphics of FIFA 17 worth the added costs when FIFA 16 plays almost identical? In otherwords, the FIFA 17 demo did not knock my socks off. I would like to play it one day, but I think I will wait for one day when it goes on sale and continue to play FIFA 16 in the mean time.
PS: oh and I did edit my localize property file in the FIFA 17 demo folders adding a couple of property entries which allowed me to extend my halves to 10 minutes instead of the 4 minutes the game seems to be locked on. Playing 10 minute halves is so much better.
