I hate to derail this thread with the back and forth, but, again, you like to stay competitive, so you buy VC. There's nothing wrong with that and no one will judge you because many people do it.

All I'm trying to say is, you aren't forced. 2K gives the option, people take advantage of the option, some people don't. That's really all there is

Who the hell wants to play a mode knowing they'll get blown out? I could care less about my W/L on a stupid leaderboard. But that doesn't mean I want to be completely out matched. Lol you're blinding buying whatever garbage 2k throws at you.

Everyone has their own opinion on these things, but to me what we get for 60 bucks in the base game is a tremendous value. I have zero problem with them charging extra for college teams in a game that is called NBA 2K, especially given the probable licensing costs for securing those teams.

IMO, when you dealing with things that are pure luxury items, like video games, I have no qualms about companies trying to get what they can. It's a pay or don't pay scenario.

Guys have to let go of the "everything should be included" idea. It costs money to liscense these teams and players. It's very reasonable to expect them to try and recoup their costs or even profit from it. McDonalds charges you to Super Size and add on a McFlurry. It's business. I will agree that it would be nice to use them in a season mode though. Still a decent value if you like any of those teams.

It's greed?! Do you know how much 2K has to pay for just ONE of these college licenses? Let alone all these teams?

I swear, some of you are so cynical it blows my mind. What in the hell do they have to be greedy about? This game sells MILLIONS on it's own without any classic college bundle.

They added this in for the fans of the college game, and they're charging for it because of how much it no doubt cost them.

But hey, buy their game used from now on. That will sure show them. How DARE they put in any college teams at all.

I agree. And I say that as someone who has purchased this bundle and been disappointed that it's limited to only play now. Still, it's college ball and I'm a huge College Hoops fan. So it worth it. I understand others who may not. Just don't buy it. Its "extra". Exactly what DLC should be IMO.

2k is turning into EA. There is no reason this shouldn't have been included in the full game. Especially seeing it's quick game only. Nickle and dime at its finest.

The looks of Ewing and Wilt make me want to vomit. Can't say it any nicer than that.

I get that 2K needs to make money from this idea. However, if you want me to pay extra, do not insult me with "college" players that look like 35 year old men. Simply porting over the player models you already have is not acceptable.

It's bad enough I have to deal with old looking "rookie" players in myteam. Ruins the experience for me. 2K would have gotten my $15 if these players actually looked like their college days. I refuse to spend on this.

They should've included them in the game and made them VC unlockable. Those who want to pay then pay, those who want to grind to get the VC then do so, but make both approaches available.
