New to NBA 2K, just pulled Curry. Sell or keep?

Sup fellas. As the title states, I'm relatively new to NBA 2K series. However, I'm not new to NBA games mainly the old school NBA Live series. Anyway, I've been hearing so much hype over NBA2K, I decided to get it this year..

I have a few questions I hope the great community could help me our with answering..
First, I preordered the game, and got a few free starter packs. I pulled Sapphire Curry with my 2nd pack. Crazy lucky, I know.. I have 75 MT currently. Should I sell him now or wait? I see he goes for about 20k now? Sell or keep?

Second, will the store be available soon to purchase VC?

Third, what would be the best way to earn MT right now? Should I just jump in and do all the challenges right now?

Fourth, When do better cards come out? Reason I ask this is, if I drop 50 dollars now to open packs, will this be a waste or worth it? I know there are team collections to get better cards, and I'm guessing pulling packs now could be beneficial, but would it be smart to wait?

    Thank you again in advance.

I would keep Curry. You need a player who can rain threes and he isn't going to be worth enough Mt to get a huge diverse team. Just play challenges and domination to get Mt and players. If you really want to buy vc go to the Playstation store by pressing down on the nba2k17 game picture on main Playstation screen, choose add on and buy how much you want there. When you open up your game after it will be waiting for you and your vC will be higher.

Imo I would sell curry at this particular time. Market is good rn for curry. Going for about 20k. He was going for 8-10k on opening day. I picked him up then and I myself am debating about selling him now n picking him later. Now there is also a chance he may keep going up but that's the gamble in us.

Domination is good to build your collection n pick up the collectors awards. Horry and Quentin are both great cards and Quentin actually has better 3pt ratings than current curry.

Mt wise swiping cards and flipping them is the best option. It will require research on your end and market analysis a little bit. What cards are hot n what not. Play around with it.

For specifics and more tips message me. Good luck man. This is a fun mode and you can stay very competitive even without spending money. Just gotta play it smart.

Re: New to NBA 2K, just pulled Curry. Sell or keep?

Thank you for the advice and tips! I've been monitoring the market prices, but right now the prices are kind of all over the place. I see Curry is around 20k right now. When I pulled him, the cheapest I saw was 14k. Now u can't touch him under 20k..

I also opened a 20 box.. Pulled 3 emeralds, Kyrie, Thompson, and Leonard. And 4 gold players.

So, in 23 total packs I opened, I pulled Sapphire Curry, along with 3 emerald players, and 5 gold players. Either I got very lucky, or 2k made it rather easy to pull emeralds as of now... That's 1 super elite pull, 3 great pulls, and 5 nice gold pulls in 23 packs.. Not too shabby.

So, these pulls left me with a tough decision to make early on.. Who do I sell? Lol. I decided not to break up the splash brothers, even though I really wanted to keep Kyrie.. So, I sold Kyrie for (((8800))) MT,, I hoped I didn't sell too low.. So I checked his price today and saw the lowest BIN at 8200. I think I made the smart choice?

Anyway, I sold 4 gold players, all the bronzes, and some silvers... I picked up Blake Griffin for around 7k. "Not sure what he is now" And my lineup right now is,
        PG: 85 Curry
        SG: 84 Thompson
        SF: 83 Leonard
        PF: 80 Griffin
        C: 79 Gasol

Curry and Thompson raises their overall by 1 each.. I like the team overall, buy I'll probably experiment with some other players eventually.

Lucky! I've opened up a good amount of packs but no Curry. Trying to sell some players to get MT to buy if from the auction house. Even though he's only an 85 he's my favorite player so I want him on my team

I've used Curry and my expectation is he is going up in price as new MT flows into the market. Right now there is not enough MT going around.

Back to Curry, he is absolutely insane in 2k17 and even if there's new Curry cards coming out in the future, it doesnt diminish how good the sapphire card is right now. He is worth way more than 20k.

Same thing with Lebron, he will be worth way more than 20k when people start hoarding MT.

I think you were pretty lucky with the packs. Your team looks great so far, keep it up.

One thing to keep in mind, keep an eye on some of those collection rewards, in case you really want one, you have to be careful not to sell a player you may have to buy back. Auction tax is a pain.

Try to keep the splash brothers until you finished domination and sell then.
If you look at the OVR ratings, these cards are still very low rated. As soon as better cards come out (and people acquire the collection reward cards which are similar rated) the price will crash instantly so its a gamble to keep those.

Re: New to NBA 2K, just pulled Curry. Sell or keep?

I'll keep the Splash brothers together for as long as possible before selling them. The main point guard I want is an Iverson Diamond at some point. So, when that comes out, I'll get rid of Curry, but guess it all depends on what nice higher overalls come out, who aren't that expensive.

So I'm guessing we will see a spike in prices by Thursday this week when more coins are earned. Maybe I should get LeBron now then, and the few Sixers I want before the prices go up.

I saw on YouTube some redhead Australian dude completed domination. He had his choice of I think 5 diamond cards to choose from as his reward... The only thing that sucks about this is, apparently you can't sell the cards.... You spend hours grinding, and your reward is a nice card u can't sell... I absolutely hate NAT cards. It's like working 8 hours a day and being paid in monopoly money.. Oh, it's nice to have while playing monopoly, but u can't do anything else with it... Blehh, ridiculous..
