Poll: What role do you play as in Franchise?

I am assuming not many people play as a Player, but in particular I'm curious about how many people play as a Coach vs an Owner.

I voted owner, because that's what i prefer.. but this year I am playing coach because in owner mode, you cannot change the playbook assigned to your team in order to use formation subs. You are stuck with the playbook of the coach you have.

I go with coach. Relocating teams and setting concession prices don't interest me (and I don't think any game will ever live up to MVP Baseball 2005 in that regard).

I voted as being an owner but at this point after reading the reviews of pros and cons for coach vs owner, I think I'm going to try being a coach. I've never gone that route, so if I get fired as a coach, do I have the possibility of being hired by another team? Thank you to all that respond.

I'd love to play owner or player but there just is t enough there to justify it for me.

Owner mode I wanna be able to higher a staff, HC OC DC STC, but also scouts trainers etc. I wanna be able to relocate to any city and pick any team name and create a custom uniform(atleast give us templates and let us pick custom color ways). Player just seems like it's playing a regular game with player lock on and camera you can't change, wish they would add some love to it.

To answer the question - if you are fired as a coach, you may get picked up by another team, or you may not (in which case you are forced to retire your coach and either create a new character or end the league).

I forget exactly how the re-hire process works if a CPU does want you, but I think it involves new action items appearing in your Things To Do menu saying "Offer To Join [Team]" or something to that effect. There's no contract negotiation or anything, it's just a Yes / No decision. (Someone double-check me on all that).

I am more of a coach guy. Owner mode is a little more difficult for me to get into, but having said that, I am in an online league and it has been fun to do the owner mode.

I enjoy the coach mode best though.

There is no reason to play player mode. It is just a more restrictive for of coach mode.

Madden's player mode is by far the biggest joke of a mode out of any sporting title.

Owner mode is what I play and it's a lot of fun
