No they wont fix the problem at all i always using defensive settings since 2k12 my defense is good but cpu defense is garbage you have open shot after open shot or easy layup.They are bad on screens, brick wall is OP this year also pick dodger for every player is a must.

I can always just run a 1 money play and they dont adapt etc...

Its too easy to pass to the post also bigs have always good position when you call a play for low post.

You can spam play for drummond and he will be always very close to the basket in real life bigs have problem with this and usually play on high post and from there they try to bully to the paint.
