Something else dawned on me today, that might be of interest, which I'll call:

"How to get the CPU to use generic playbooks without having to use two controllers"

After I sim practice and take care of all my off the field issues for the week, I hit R3 and create the HC for my next opponent...

I then:

Buff up their depth chart

Look up their starters player styles and implement them into the scheme menu

And then?

Toggle the scheme menu playbook boxes to the appropriate generics!

I also buff up their formations subs using this reference:

Anyway, once you get good at it, it's takes 15 minutes...

All that will stick and after returning to your HC's screen simply play the game and then after that played game, hit R3 and "retire" your opponent's HC...

Then advance and everything reverts back to the way it would have been, had you not created that HC and adjusted things, etc...

You get optimal opponent challenge, more varied animations, etc. and only have to plug in that second controller if / when you want to also change the opponents uni's...

I only do that for the rare "nationally televised" games in the regular season...so it's rare...
